Lewis is up for 3 awards including: Producer Of The Year, Recording Engineer Of The Year and Mixing Engineer Of The Year.

Lewis’ work has regularly appeared in editorial playlists, frequented the charts and gained critical acclaim, with past awards including: FBI SMAC Awards 2023 Record Of The Year with ‘Sugar Coated Lies’ - Ramo as well as ARIA Awards Album Of The Year and Best Rock Album in 2017 with Gang Of Youths’ ‘Go Farther In Lightness’, and Best Soul/R&B Release in 2020 with Miiesha’s ‘Nyariingu.

Meet Ethan! He’s a songwriter, engineer and multi-instrumentalist who we reckon is the next big thing in music production!

He’s recently joined our team, and in that time has already engineered for The Avalanches, and achieved playlisting success producing and writing with Charli Lucas.

Some of Ethan’s favourite guitars to use is one of the best acoustics for recording, our Martin 000-15M is slightly smaller than typical, making it easier for anyway to play all day long.

As for its sound, Ethan loves its warm, rich and rounded tone with 👌👌👌 vibe characteristics.

He also likes to use the Neve 1073 pre-amp. It is a must-have for recording pretty much anything, and we have 5 of them scattered around our studios.

They’re Ethan’s #1 choice when body and clarity is required for tracking - which is basically all the time!

Meet Tim Watt,
Mixer and Producer...
Our vintage Rhodes
and his go-to Neumann microphone

Tim is a mixer and producer with clients including Dabin, Crooked Colours, Hermitude, Pines and Midnight Kids.

Our vintage Rhodes is older than all of us (made in 1980) and includes a built-in amp and multiple speakers 🔊🔊🔊

Tim reckons its lush tones and vintage charm make it a go-to for chords and melodies alike... An inspiring and satisfying instrument to play.

Of our many Neumman’s, this is Tim’s Fave:

‘The Neumann U67 is my favourite piece of gear in the studio.
Its ability to capture crystal clear vocals and instruments with a depth and authenticity truly elevates the final production to a professional level’

He’s also an accomplished Dolby Atmos mixer, spatial-ising releases for Hilltop Hoods, Vera Blue and Cat & Calmell.

Our Story

We are a Sydney-based recording studio, capturing Australia’s best music, podcasts and content.

Billie Eilish, Ocean Alley, Tove Lo, Flume, Shawn Mendes, Dean Lewis, G-Flip and Briggs are just a few that have used our studios since we opened in 2016.

We record and mix vocals, bands and ensembles. We make podcasts and do Livestreams We also have songwriting rooms for hire.
