In what is huge news for the Australian culinary landscape, Aussie Chef Brett Graham has just been awarded the highest honour in cooking, 3 Michelin stars, for his restaurant The Ledbury in Notting Hill in London.

Graham was awarded 2 stars in 2012 and held onto them for 8 consecutive years until the restaurant shut down in 2020 due to the pandemic. After reopening in 2022 and boasting immediate success once more, 3 stars were handed to Graham and The Ledbury.

In 1971, D.B. Cooper boarded a flight from Portland to Seattle and during the flight handed a note to a flight attendant that said “I have a bomb.”

He demanded $200,000 in cash and four parachutes upon landing in Seattle. After touchdown in Seattle, Cooper recieved his ransom money and parachutes. He subsequently released the passengers and demanded the crew refuel and fly immediately to Mexico City.

30 minutes after take-off from Seattle, Cooper opened the aft door and parachuted into the night somewhere over South Washington, and has never been found or properly identified since. He has made one attempt at contact through a handwritten letter claiming he was using the money for ‘the revolution.’
