Destroying Our Land and Sea Assets to Save the Environment
Concerned about the industrialisation of our land and sea by climate alarmists, people of Western Australia came together in Bunbury to talk about a proposal to install up to 1300 wind turbines off the coast of WA between Geographe Bay and Kalbarri. Spanning an area of nearly 8000km2, offshore wind farms will decimate the marine environment and aquatic species including Southern Right Whales, Blue Whales, Pygmy Blue Whales and Humpbacks (a protected species). Senator Pauline Hanson joined the fight to dispense some cold hard truths upon the audience. Here are some of the highlights.

In December 2018, The Sheep Collective was created through RETWA and Emanuel Exports Veterinarian and Animal Welfare Compliance Officer, Dr. Holly Ludeman, who embarked on a transparency challenge to address a sheep export industry in crisis. This crisis was sparked by the Awassi Express footage released in April 2018 by 60 Minutes and generated by Animals Australia. From the success of The Sheep Collective project, The Cattle Collective was launched and the movement has since evolved into an overarching non-for-profit company called The Livestock Collective.

Keep the Sheep is a grassroots movement born to take action against the Albanese Government’s ban on live sheep exports.
The ban will devastate WA farming families and their communities. More than that, it will have consequences that will hurt truckies, stock agents, shearers and sporting clubs in WA towns like Kojonup, Wagin and Kulin.
The nations that buy our sheep overseas are concerned about the ban. They trade with Australia for our high quality and superior sheep.
The ban won’t create demand for chilled or boxed meat, it will simply push the trade to countries with far lower animal welfare standards.
We need to keep the sheep because a ban is unfair to WA farmers and their families, who rely on the sheep industry to survive.

On Friday 31st May 2024 I was fortunate to join the Keep the Sheep rally which converged on Perth, Western Australia with a 1700 strong convoy of trucks and cars and then meandered North to a muster yard in Muchea. I was privileged to speak with many of our farmers and truckers who make the WA agriculture business the stella industry that it is today.

SynergyRED and Bright Energy Investments are proposing to install (30) wind turbines at the Scott River. The Scott River district is known for its high ecological value and there is a high risk to endangered flora and fauna from wind turbines. Thirty industrial wind turbines will increase fire risk to the local community, increase the costs of liability insurance for rural properties near renewable energy projects and liability falls will the landowners, not the wind farm owner or developer.
