Games That Actors Play is a Newcastle based business with a primary focus on budget videography for your special event. If you have very limited finances at the time of your special event then we will do our best to design a package for you. With our most basic package you do not need to pay for all the extra costs of editing and presentation but can leave all this to a later time. You only pay fo
r our professional videography of your event. We immediately provide you with the recorded video for you to do with as you wish at a later date. We also provide you the option of coming back to us at a later time to arrange editing and presentation of your special event video. Alternatively, you may wish to try editing it yourself or approaching another service. As the founder of Games That Actors Play I saw a need for such a service when I got married. About a month before our wedding my employer made me redundant. Finances were tight and wedding videography packages expensive. I ended up setting up my own 3 cameras (Sony HVR-Z5P/Sony HVR-A1P/Contour +2 HD GPS) in fixed positions and editing the video myself. So, I am the only person I know who has videoed their own wedding. However, I do not recommend doing this, as you are unable to correct for any problems that arise. For us, this included changing lighting conditions (late afternoon outdoor wedding) and guests standing in front of the cameras. But after some time-consuming editing “tricks” we have a wedding video with which we are both happy. The secondary focus of Games That Actors Play is conversion of personal videos and films (Super 8/Standard 8) to digital format for presentation on DVD, Blu-Ray and/or Hard Disk Drive. Please note these should be “home movies” or you can demonstrate you have copyright authority for their conversion/copying. David A Elliott
