This is entirely created in Procreate, text and frame, and whole graphic design shebang. It was fun not having to jump to Affinity Designer or Adobe suite. I loved learning more procreate masking/selecting tricks from - and just to shout it from the rafters, her brushes are AWESOME.

Hi guys... to celebrate the launch of my Procreate Dreams Skillshare class, the link below will give you a month free access to it. I get that there is a steep learning curve. Before Procreate Dreams I would consider myself an illustrator not an animator so I've made the class completely beginner friendly so that each time i use a tool, I explain the HOW and the WHY.

In this class, you will learn how to:
-Navigate the interface of the app, its settings, hidden menus, and modes as well as gestures that will help simplify your workflow.
-How to set up your movie files
-How to import your files and layered illustrations from Procreate to Procreate Dreams and convert them into layered animation tracks.
-The settings to make working with tracks easy and straightforward.
-An overview view of draw and paint mode including importing and working with colour palettes, and brushes and how your drawing layers interact with your animation tracks.

Next, we will go through a series of animation exercises and turn and a pre-prepared procreate illustration titled “Social media for cats “into an animated movie. By going through the steps of the project, you will learn to:
-Create an animated title that incorporates text, audio, video and layer masks.
-Apply Keyframes for motion and live filters.
-Learn to use performing and the flip book in draw and paint mode to bring our animation to life.

Don't worry if you are brand new to animation because the project file, brushes palettes, video and audio files are all included in your class resources tab.

All you will need to take this class is an iPad, the app Procreate Dreams, and a stylus. (For the best results I recommend the pressure sensitive model of the Apple pencil)

Throwback to a dress I designed and had made years ago from fabric I found in the markets in Ghana. I was just starting out learning surface pattern design and my dream was to be able to make glorious prints like these. Fast forward 7 ish years and I have now I have now designed over 200 vibrant, joyful, fabric prints available at my store and this is the year I will start sewing clothing with my own prints! All this to say, whatever your goals are this year , it’s possible. Take one step towards them. No matter how small. The only way to not reach your goal is to stop trying.

Just popping in with a burst of orange to say hello. Rocking my “Cocoa pods” print on my new tote bag. My beautiful friend surprised me with it this week after a very hectic week and I am now going to spend the next week finding outfits to match it! 🤣 This is a super sentimental and special print to me because it was inspired by the cocoa pods from my Dad’s farm in Ghana. I would generally consider myself an illustrator and not an animator but after playing with the newly released @procreate dreams app, I think I’m changing my mind. Turning my illustrations into animations so easily is making me so happy. I’ve been adding things like motion, colour adjustments, text, video and audio in a matter of minutes. A month ago, I couldn’t tell you what a key frame was and now I’m using key frame transitions like a boss and all from the comfort of my iPad! There are some amazing tutorials on @skillshare and that have made the learning curve really enjoyable and I feel like every day we are getting updates that make it more intuitive to use. It’s great to finally have hit the holiday season to be able to spend some focused time being creative. Have you tried the new procreate dreams animation app yet?????
