WOW!!!!!!!

We are almost at 30,000 followers. When I started this for a way for local fishos to stay in touch with me I never expected this kind of interest.

We are so greatful to everyone, especially those who followed since the beginning. It’s been so much fun along the way getting to chat to everyone.

We can not thank you all enough. The page has changed so much and hopefully keeps evolving so there is a bit of stuff on here for everyone. Who knows where it will be in 5 or 10 years but hopefully we keep growing and can get jaws on more walls along the way.

Thanks for all the interest and conversation over the last few years and hopefully you have had a few laughs at the flower pot crew with me along the way, there will be plenty more of them I’m sure.

Once again, thanks to everyone and if you have any suggestions on anything else I should put up, feel free to let me know as without all of you guys this page wouldn’t be here. ❤️,

I get asked on almost every tiger shark post what’s some of the stuff I have found inside them. All off this was from 1 tiger we got a couple of seasons ago. Couple of obvious ones there but this girl had the surf and I’m pretty sure turf a few days before we got her.

Couple more photos of the entertainment that occurs out shark fishing. It’s amazing once these boats have been set up to shark fish, how well they travel with fish like these on the deck. We got these ones in no worries with the old come along.

I love surprises, good sized circle hook buried deep in this tiger shark that I removed. It’s been in there a long time now,
There was no sign of it at all until I got to work. another one for the tackle box.
This video will be up later, it’s a bit of a longer one since I haven’t done one in a while.

Since I’m not taking any at the moment I haven’t done a video in a long time but this one was a promised one that got dropped in and since I have no room I have to get onto it straight away. Will post a video of this nice tiger later.

I knew marrying a chick with a kid would eventually pay off. It may have taken 14 years and had its ups and downs but I finally understand why people have these little guys now. Some peoples kids take out the rubbish, mine bring shark heads in 😂. I would have loved this being on my job list when I was 16😂,

Going through saving old photos and came across this beauty,

This one was 1000lb and we managed to get her on board with only 2 of us 😂😂, we backed this one up and got another one the day after. Looking back and seeing how we would do this a few days in a row makes my body hurt 😂😂,

Let’s try this again!!!

400kg tiger back on the drying board after I wasn’t happy with the last attemp, it’s getting all the attention to itself this time with 3 industrial fans all to itself, fingers crossed 🤞 that she holds this shape and it will be something else, also everyone’s stuff is getting send out first thing tomorrow. Sorry for the delay, we had something come up that was unavoidable, thanks everyone.

Well it took me months but it finally finished the 400kg+ tiger shark jaw that had a heap of damage. It had a heaps of damage from natural causes that caused it to go hollow. So i injected it with epoxy in spots to toughen it up, it also had a nice big hole where it bit the gaff that i fixed for the boys. This one was a massive challenge with the weather causing it to warp multiple times over. These make me appreciate the easy ones but I love the challenge. With another week of freezing weather on the way, and still having over 30 jaws In the freezer to finish, we won’t be able to take any new ones on until at least October. This way we can start fresh and get back to our normal 3 week turn around times. For everyone waiting on my to finish their jaws, thanks for your patients and hopefully not to long.

The only bad thing about shark fishing is the prep work 😂, nothing like putting 200kg of fish through a wood chipper on a Friday morning.

Hey everyone. I usually share my fishing stuff on my personal page but I thought there may be a few people on here that are interested in fishing as well as the shark stuff so I have decided to get a page going for our recreational fishing stuff that we do in the tinny, come give it a follow if your interested, we have a lot of fun out there and always end up in some sort of situation that’s usually entertaining so thought we would start recording our trips. Hi guys. We are starting this page to show the fishing side of our lives. We have so many wild adventures in the old brooker that we feel like a lot of people will ebjoy seeing some of the fish we catch. I feel like there’s so many fishing pages out there where people are fishing in unreachable waters for the everyday Aussie fisho and using gear and technology that 90% of us will never own. So I though I would start this page to show what is possible out of the sorts of boats that are much more likely to be owned by the typical fishos, we love chasing the biggest sport fish we can find and hoping it all goes well 😂😂, come follow us for fun and laughs. ゚

While the weathers been average. I’ve been finding old photos and saving them to my phone and here’s one I had to share, cracking action shot from the big 625kg tiger we got back in 2016, she’s already got one gaff in here here and we are trying to get another 5 in before we lost her 😂, about 3 seconds after this moment. The skippers hand was broken in 6 places on the trace. He still didn’t let go though, some good memories here, we don’t fish together as a crew these days but all stay in touch and have memories that can never be forgotten.

You see what happens when the numbers aren’t controlled. They start to school up and do recreational activities that aren’t “permitted” this is really going to make them a handful on the trace when these ones reach Australia, which will be in record time due to their increased performance. Wait until a gets hold of this 😂😂😂.

How’s this for a change of scenery!!!

200kg + blue marlin bill I finished for a mate of mine, unfortunately they are an absolute pain to work on and take upto a year to complete properly, longer in some cases. The results are pretty good though.

I don’t advertise or do these for people as the cost for me is to high and I can’t justify passing the charges on but just wanted to share it with everyone.

Here’s a bit of a video of the mega rare endangered shark (sss) from yesterday swimming around the boat and playing tug of war for a few seconds. I’ve been getting asked about in shore baits a bit lately so I done a bit at the end to show how I like to have my baits cut up so we don’t miss any hook up’s. Something a bit different, hope you enjoy it.

Well got out to test the new set up in the boat after a full rebuild today and caught some salmon, next thing, I know, this guy marks up on the new sounder so i taped a salmon to a trace (no hook) and threw it over to see what it was and sure enough, I got to have a tug of war with this big girl, ゚ .

FOR SALE!!!!

The time of year has came around again where we make all our traces up for the season ahead, these are our bullshark traces, 5m long with a 14/0 offset j hook with the welded eye on them, at this stage. We are only going to have about 15 spare we will make them up and post them all out on Friday this week once they are all sold, they will be $30 including postage aus wide, send a pm if your interested. After that mako getting shared so much. I thought I better share the jaws, these jaws are the single most impressive jaws I have ever done, I’m so lucky I work with the boys that caught it and get to still see it regularly, i honestly believe I will never see a mako jaw this size again and I’m still thankful I got to work on it to get this result, what an absolute monster of a jaw, 😍😍.

After multiple attempts, it looks like we have finally got the big tiger shark drying to a nice shape, hopefully a couple of weeks and it will be finished, this one has been a pain to get right with the cold wet weather. Will all be worth it in the end though,

So the mako from last nights weight was 448kg. I remember going down to cut the jaws out for the boys and this thing gave me goosebumps. It was a 2hr fight on 24kg line and, as good as the story would have been, it didn’t play up much at the boat at all, definitely a once in a lifetime experience for the boys,

With the weather absolutely garbage for the nest week and a massive bluefin tuna run in progress. It won’t be long until I get a call to do a few of these guys. Once the weather improves, I would be suprised if there isn’t some XL makos following the tuna, this is a little one we got a while ago that was a little fire cracker at the boat 😂😂, this thing done more damage than most of the tigers we have ever caught, 😬😬,

It’s definitely been a rarity this winter but here’s a tiger I’ve just about finished, this one was strange. It weighed just under 400kg but the jaw is much smaller than the average 400kg fish, still a nice one all the same, I’ve had a his one since march and finally got it done. Not to finish the big tiger I’ve had here since Xmas that won’t stop warping,

In the spirit of shark week 😂😂, here’s a white shark that I caught back when I first started shark fishing, this was after a big east coast low we had one April. We went out the day after the swell backed off and hooked this thing on 37kg line, 6.5hrs on 37kg and we had it to the boat. We tried to get the hook out of this one but it was still carrying on like a kn0b so we had to cut the hook of and send it on its way. Obviously never got a weight but it’s definitely the biggest fish I have ever wound in.

Last night I went for a run in the lake, didn’t even have a fishing rod with me and this fella appeared on the side scan, technology is unbelievable these days. It almost takes the sport out of it (almost), I have my own idea of what it is, I reckon you can even tell the species. What are your thoughts???
