Deakin Film Society is a student community production house operated entirely by students.
Deakin TV exists for the sole purpose of bringing together a group of highly driven Deakin students keen to further their passion and experience in the film, TV and media industry. Club members come from a variety of backgrounds including Filmaking, Digital Animation, Photography, Visual Design, Stunt-Performing, Screenwriting, Acting, Music and Sound Production and general avid film enthusiasm. We are excited to announce our 72 Hour Film Challenge is back in business for Trimester 2 👀🎥 Open to anyone, this challenge will involve writing, filming, and editing a short film in a group setting in under 72 hours! 🎞️
Join us at Building P, Room P1.03 at 11am where we will announce the theme of our challenge. All films must follow the theme given. Form your groups beforehand, or you can come and we will sort you into groups.
We will then host our 72 Hour Film Challenge premiere, where your short films will be shown on the big screen for everyone, with attractive prizes to be won too! Keep an eye out on our IG for more info on this 👀

DFS is thrilled to announce that we’ve got tickets to give away to a special preview screening of HOW TO HAVE S*X.
Directed by Molly Manning Walker, the film is the Winner of the 2023 Un Certain Regard award at Cannes Film Festival, and will release in Australian cinemas on March 7. 🎬
