The show originally made its debut in February 1997 at 98.9 Northwest FM and stayed there until 2002. After a 4 year break, Wired for Sound moved to Plenty Valley FM in 2006 and officially went to air in June 2007 and stayed there until September 2021.

Wired For Sound

Wired for Sound is a music radio program that can be heard every Sunday afternoon from 2-4 on Melbourne’s north-east community radio station 88.6 Plenty Valley FM. Also, you can stream the program live through the station’s website via www.pvfm.org.au or through the many available streaming apps online.

The program features today’s mainstream Top 40 music but mostly independent music in the first and second hour. Then, halfway still into the second hour, we feature some of your favourite retro classics from the 70s, 80s, 90s and 00s. You can follow the program’s playlist live on Twitter (@wfspvfm) or through the posts on the Wired for Sound page.
