It has taken us a few days to catch up, but we would like to congratulate Vicki Ward MP for Eltham on her recent appointment as the Minister for Emergency Services portfolio. Vicki is well aware of us as the local community radio station and has actively participated with some of our shows previously. We take great pride in our role as a designated emergency broadcaster and look forward to working with Vicki in the future to continue supporting the community to be safe and resilient in times of emergency.

People in the area and surrounds, please note a training exercise is happening tonight. Rest assured in a real declared emergency, we would be suspending programs to provide updates as a designated emergency broadcaster.

We are also hearing sirens in other locations where a certain red man in a beard is doing some final checks… it’s not long to go… 🎅🏻🎄

‼️ 𝗜𝗠𝗣𝗢𝗥𝗧𝗔𝗡𝗧 𝗡𝗢𝗧𝗜𝗙𝗜𝗖𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 ‼️

We will be running a training exercise on the western side of Quarry Hills tonight.

Don’t be alarmed if you see a number of fire trucks operating with their flashing lights operating in the Quarry Hills and Harvest Home Road area.

We would like to congratulate those who put their names forward for local council elections recently. In particular, we would like to congratulate those who were recently declared by The Victorian Electoral Commission as successful councilor-elects in the local wards that are within our Licence Area Plan (LAP) as authorised by ACMA.

As the station locally, we recognise the importance of being able to connect with people in our area. As the designated we take great pride in our responsibilities with engaging to keep our community informed and safe and providing a public service to the community.

We look forward to working with the local councilors within our LAP for them to strongly advocate within their networks and circles of influence the importance and the work that grassroots media does in supporting positive messaging in the community.

Congratulations to the following declared elected candidates who will be sworn in over the coming week or so. We would also like to extend our thanks to Lydia Wilson, Peita Duncan and team for their support of our station during the City of Whittlesea's administration period.
