Congratulations Peter! We interviewed Peter from Banyule Nillumbik Local Learning & Employment Network at this year’s Hurstbridge Wattle Festival - check it out at the 39min mark… and take a listen to our other interviews from the day too!

We are thrilled to congratulate Peter, one of our incredible Nillumbik L2P Mentors, who has been recognised as Most Supportive Mentor of the Year at the Transport Accident Commission (TAC) L2P Conference 2025.

Peter has been part of the Nillumbik L2P Program for 8 years. Over that time, he has supported 25 learners to gain their P plates and is currently mentoring 5 learners at different stages of their learner journey.

Peter goes above and beyond, driving with multiple learners at once, stepping in to support learners when other mentors are unavailable, running basic car maintenance workshops, guiding new mentors, and representing the program at local events. His tailored support and genuine connection with young people make him an invaluable part of the Nillumbik L2P community.

Peter’s dedication and guidance make a real difference to the lives of young drivers and the strength of our program.
