Wyndham in Melbourne’s outer west covers more than 5490 square kilometres. Suburbs include Cocoroc, Eynesbury (part), Hoppers Crossing, Laverton (part), Laverton North, Little River (part), Mambourin, Mount Cottrell (part), Point Cook, Quandong, Tarneit, Truganina (part), Werribee, Werribee South, Williams Landing and Wyndham Vale .
Wyndham boasts industrial areas, technology districts, retail precincts and farming areas. The area acts as a tourism hub, with Werribee Park Mansion, Victoria’s Open Range Zoo at Werribee, the State Equestrian Centre, the Point Cook Homestead and the Point Cook RAAF Museum.
Wyndham is one of Australia’s fastest growing municipalities. The population boom over the past few years is mainly thanks to the housing developments in Tarneit, Point Cook and Truganina. The population estimate for Wyndham as of the 30th June 2019 is 270,487. Since the previous year, the population has grown by 5.92%.
