Over the past two Tuesdays, some of our senior students from the Access Centre had the exciting opportunity to visit 4CRM Community Radio Mackay 107.5FM , a local community radio station run by dedicated volunteers. The excursion gave students a hands-on experience of how a radio station operates. During the visit, students had the chance to record their own intro or segment for the station, helping them develop confidence and creativity while stepping out of their comfort zones. A huge thanks to Colin for hosting us, and to Maureen Robertson, our teacher and organiser, who also works at 4CRFM and hosts her own segment, Music Makes Me Happy, every Friday from 6-7 pm. The experience was both educational and inspiring, giving students valuable insight into media production and community engagement.

Wonderful music and amazing choir. If you enjoy these lovely harmonies and music you will enjoy our Sunday afternoons on 4CRM with programs - Pacifica at 4pm, our Kiwi show at 5 (both hosted by Kuki) and then move onto our Fijian program at 6 pm with Simi.
What a lovely relaxing way to spend a Sunday. 🎶
