Kangaroo obeys traffic lights

A streetwise hip-hopper, sporting a grey jumpsuit has left a group of Flatlanders in hysterics.

The little boomer with more common sense than your average cyclist, kept to the left of his lane and stopped at a red light, before continuing down to Megalong Valley on the green.

Methican cuisine comes to Lithgow

It's been a long wait for Lithgow to get its very own Taco Bell and after more than two months of construction it’s finally open.

With a sleek exterior and interior, Lithgow Taco Bell bears a modern look after a lengthy 10 weeks of construction.

The upmarket Lithgow eatery hosted a grand opening on Wednesday night.

General Manager Annette Spicer said the opening was a success. β€œIt went really well, it’s been very busy and that’s what we wanted to see,” Spicer said, adding that they are hiring for all positions.

β€œWe start everyone out at $3.50 an hour, (with) flexible shifts. So any hours you want, we can make up.”

Spicer said the used kitchen equipment that they had bought off Gumtree will equip them to try to keep at least some food fresh and hopefully safe for human consumption.

Police are urging people to reconsider travelling to the Blue Mountains after a child was attacked by a Drop Bear yesterday.

At about 4.50pm (Tuesday 1 March 2022), emergency services were called to Wentworth Falls, in the Blue Mountains National Park, after a 3-year-old boy was attacked by a Thylarctos plummetus, better known as a "Drop Bear"

In light of this incident, and the current Drop Bear mating season, police urge members of the public to avoid walking under trees, and if you must walk under a tree, ensure you are well prepared.

Remember the only known repellent is Vegemite behind the ears.
