Our favourite little Portlander is in Australia again, this time as backing vocalist and guitarist for Neko Case. She's been persuaded to do a couple of little shows of her own, just 3 of em. Here's a picture of the Papunya Community Hall. This is where the Warumpi Band played their first ever show back in 1980. Pretty soon into their career they wrote and recorded the first rock and roll song sung in language called 'Jailanguru Pakarnu' It's probably the best known track of the 11 songs of rare Aboriginal country music that make up our new LP release 'Buried Country.'

American singer songwriter Dave Dondero joins us to perform live ahead of his North Island tour. In 2006 he was named by NPR's All Songs Considered as one of the "best living songwriters".
Attention lovers of song. Flipping Yeah Records is hosting amazing rambling US folk musician David Dondero for his first ever Australian headline tour. NPR (USA's beloved national broadcaster) has hailed him as one of Americas top living songwriters. Dondero is a brilliant storyteller and poet. His searching melodies and distinctive voice are heartbreakingly beautiful and uplifting. But after two decades of releasing albums, Dondero remains criminally unknown. The songs come from Dondero's own life. On a never-ending tour and living out of his car, Dondero has long trudged through the detritus of humanity, turning his acute observations and experiences into sometimes twisted tales. It's a world populated by raving drunks, bored st*****rs, the perpetually broke and lonelyhearted. Please don't miss this and tell people you think should know about it.
