Good News Day to Save the Day

Did you know nearly 1 million people a year kill themselves worldwide?

Good News Day on August 8, 2018, is out to reduce this shocking statistic by spreading more good news in the world in traditional media (TV, radio, print) and new media (social media, podcasts etc) and lift people’s spirits so we have more love and less fear in the world.

Good News Day was founded by ‘Media Queen’ Aldwyn Altuney, who has had 34 years media experience, personally had depression over the years & had 3 friends kill themselves - not because they knew her!

She is joining forces with other Good News Gurus to spread more good news and is out to disrupt the old adages that ‘bad news sells’ or ‘if it bleeds, it leads’. She is writing a book called Good News Sells, which is due out in late 2018.

She was born in Sydney and is now based on the beautiful Gold Coast (above).

She also runs Animal Action Events annually to help raise awareness, appreciation and respect for all animals!
