Some members shared they have set their biz goals and have them clearly set out in a visual planner. Others said they were still developing their biz goals for the year.

It’s an important part of my biz membership community that everyone recognises and understands that each of us are on our own journeys.

We acknowledged that everyone has their own way of resetting. My way is different to yours…. And that’s ok. It’s of differences, our unique perspectives that make our membership community so rich and diverse.

From my experience the best way to convert your social media followers into paying customers is to focus on two key areas.

1. Emotions
2. Transformation

The emotions I’m referring to here are the feelings that your content evokes in followers. The emotions I want my customers to feel when they consume my content are excited, energetic, confident. Emotions also covers the feelings they experience when interacting with your business. The emotions I want my customers to feel when interacting with my business are trusting, authentic and curious.

Transformation drives action. When a follower seeks to change their situation; change their path; fill their need. This will drive them to take action.

Emotions + Transformation = Action

To deeply understand the emotions and transformations possible for followers, you can start by understanding how followers interact with your business. This is achieved by mapping your customer journey. When you thread emotions and transformations through the customer journey you will see followers turn into customers.

MY CONTENT CREATION PROCESS

Thanks for joining me live this morning!! It was so good to share this with you. As I said in the video, I hope you are able to take away a new tip or idea on making your business content creation easier.

To recap my process:-
Step 1: I know who my customer is
Step 2: I know what my service gives them
Step 3: I brainstorm my content pillars and ideas
Step 4: I create content for my pillars that provides value, builds trust, entertains and promotes my services
Step 5: I also create content that fits everyone in the buying phases of my offer
Step 6: I write the captions

There are two steps we didn't cover today and they are checking my stats and making adjustments accordingly. Inside Creator Studio you can see which posts are performing best and which are not. Review your insights monthly and make adjustments to your content plan as needed.

🛑 STOP MAKING ASSUMPTIONS ABOUT YOUR CUSTOMERS!

If I was to share the single most important thing to being successful in business, it's having a clear 'Ideal Customer'.

Your 'Ideal Customer' is the person who needs what you're selling right now.

The biggest mistake I see, is businesses making big assumptions about what their Ideal Customers want, need and desire.

I see....
❌ Survey's being designed for customers to fill in
❌ Posts published on socials asking for customer feedback
❌ Paid ads being run to reach new people
❌ Keyword heavy website landing pages to attract internet search results
❌ Paying influencers to promote products

PLEASE! Don't start with these things. ⬆️

Until you have a clear Ideal Customer, who you have spoken to and that you understand deeply. All of these ⬆️ things, are a waste of your time.

INSTEAD take the time to understand your Ideal Customer and then make them the centre of your business.

✅ Every piece of marketing you create, speaks to them
✅ Every spoke in your sales wheel, works for them ✅ Every word you write, resonates with them

Here are some questions you should be asking:-
1 Why is important to you?
2 What have you tried so far to ?
3 If you could get , what would that mean to you?
4 What are your biggest challenges with ?

These questions apply to any business (product or service based) on any level!

In digital marketing, content plays a key role. Unless you produce content, customers will not discover your business when browsing the internet.

Content drives the success of digital marketing campaigns. Your business has the chance to connect with prospective customers with every piece of content you publish.

How you write and present your content reflects on you as an individual and as a business. There are different types of written content creation. There are content writers and copywriters. These two forms of digital communication are used in digital campaigns for very different purposes.

Module 5 is all about writing content. We dive into the difference between content writing and copywriting as well as the five most common writing techniques. I share with you my collections of hooks, calls to action, hashtags and ways to write for conversion and engagement.

Social Strategy Shake-up shows you how to create unique content that showcases your point of difference while giving your customers what they want.

While researching topics for this course, I read an article by Shiv Narayanan, a Canadian businessman, CEO of How to SaaS and Author of Post-Acquisition Marketing bestseller. In the article Shiv points out that many businesses produce content in the wrong order.

"For example, what good is SEO content if you don’t have your core messaging and product marketing pillars figured out?".

He lists the following 6 steps as the 'right order of doing things':

1. Sort out your Product Marketing (core messaging, value prop)
2. Enable and empower the Sales team with the right materials and assets
3. Run customer marketing campaigns to capture expansion opportunities from the existing base
4. Set up nurture campaigns to help prospects make their way through their buyer journey
5. Build thought leadership content with a unique perspective and story to differentiate yourself in the marketplace
6. Create content to rank for organic search

"Obsessing about number 6 when numbers 1-5 have not been figured out is a recipe for disaster".

I liked this point of view and thought it relevant to share here.

Module 4 of the Social Strategy Shake-up course digs into steps 3, 4 and 5 above.

Module 4 is all about content strategy. It's finally the time in the course that we get to start creating your content!! Or, should I say, your customers content. You see, your marketing needs to be content that your customer wants to see, learn and hear about. It needs to be what they are interested in.

Do you know if the content you are publishing via Stories is making an impact?

Every piece of content you publish should have an intended result/outcome.

😆Generate leads
😆Build understanding for your offer
😆Promote a discount
😆Build trust
😆Ask for a sale
😆Build connection and relationships with followers

If you implement a Story Strategy you can start to publish content with purpose and achieve the outcomes you desire.

Step One: Choose your purpose and desired outcome
Decide the purpose of your content. Is it to generate leads or is it to build trust? How will you measure the success of this content? Will you check Insights or use another method?

Step Two: Ask questions
When you understand what your customers want to know more about, you can provide them with that content. How do you know what your customers want? You ask them! Find out what information your customers want to know and then give that to them.

Step Three: Repurpose content by adding value
Repurpose content you've published as reels or grid posts in stories. Use the information you have gathered from your customers and add value. If you are a beautician and customers are interested in nail art, provide them with a tutorial. If you sell cleaning products and customers are interested in keeping kitchens clean, provide them with a storage tip.

Step Four: Check results and ask more questions
At least once a month, view your content stats. Determine which content performed best and reuse this content across your platforms.
