I'm pretty sure the day owned me today.
I'm constantly reminded that I need to slow down and take a break.
Being a workaholic, it's not as easy as people seem to think..
Once I get into the rhythm of work, it's near impossible to stop until I hit a wall.
Work/life balance is a lifestyle we all try to adopt today, but how exactly do you stop when there is still work to do?
How do you measure the amount of work left over from today and know you'll be able to keep your workload from overflowing tomorrow?
How do you learn to say no more?
Burnout is one of the major causes of mental health breakdowns, yet for some of us it's the only way we know how to keep going. To keep working.
Until something forces us to stop.
I'm still learning how to stop my day from 'being the boss of me' and learning to be the 'boss of my day'. But I tend to learn the hard way......... repeatedly.
For those who have already mastered this, please feel free to share your secrets cause there are those of us who need to know.
Burnout.
We all know it.
We've all experienced it in different ways.
No matter how you deal with it, remember there is only one you.
Today has been productive for me planning my social media marketing for the next 2 months. Whilst I may go off script, it's important to have a plan and strategy. Have you got yours sorted?
Happy New Year Everyone. I can't wait to see what exciting things 2024 has in store for us.
Wishing all my Clients, Family, Friends, and all who see this a truly amazing Christmas, and a very safe and Happy New Year <3
Eye-catching ads draw more attention and reach for your events increasing engagement, and hopefully a sell-out event.
I love Christmas time and creating new ads. Experimenting with new features, animations and designs. Ads don't need to be boring :)
Your Christmas advertising can be as unique as you
There are many different ways to create a social media ad.
On way is to create an animated social media ad to draw the eye and engage interest.
And that's what we want isn't it?
Benny Boo isn't happy I'm still working, but these ads aren't going to create themselves LOL
Thursday.
The day before Friday and two days before the weekend.
"But I don't have time"
Yeah.... I'm guilty of that too.
As I was getting ready for work this morning I randomly thought,
"When was the last time I posted on my page?"
My next thought was, "When have I had time?"
My next thought was, "I guess that's why I'm getting ready for work."
Having time to post whilst actually running a business is tough. You think, I'll just put up a post when I get home......
Yeah.......... after I have a shower, make dinner, spend time with the family, do the invoicing, quoting, ordering of materials, washing, cleaning, and whatever else needs to get done before literally falling into bed.
By the time you actually get to trying to think of a post, you're too exhausted to even pick up your phone.
Advertising, no matter in what form, needs to be consistent.
People need to be reminded all the time about your services.
Like seriously, how many posts do you see in your local community groups asking for recommendations for an electrician, plumber, handyperson, lawn mower person, gluten-free restaurants, etc?
Word of mouth is so important to any small business, especially when it's free. But when do you have time to do it?
Hiring someone to advertise for your business is imperative to keeping your business growing. Getting your products and services out to the public takes time.
And it takes a degree of know how too. Just because I know how to hammer a nail into a wall, does not mean I know how to hang a heavy picture frame. But if you ask me for ideas on how to market your business, well grab a coffee, take a seat and get comfy cause I can talk until the cows come home.
Bottom line is, if you want to grow your business, and you don't have time to do it, consider paying someone to do for you.
And I encourage you to shop around for the service that suits your needs and your budget. Because like any business, there is no one size fits all.
This is Benny, my foster dog.
He's a gorgeous and affectionate boy and I love him to pieces, but OMG he can be demanding LOL
When he came to me, he was very quiet, never barked and never made any demands.
Now he's so very vocal! As soon as I sit down to work he's trying to either knock me off my chair or trying to crawl onto my lap. He wants to share all my food and I'm sure he thinks he has a say in my creative designs too π
Maybe I should make him a Business Partner π€
Self promotion is always hard. But if you don't advocate for yourself then who else will tell the world how amazing you really are
There are many ways to create social media ads to attract new customer leads. Animated videos are a great way to draw the eye and to stand out against your competition.
Happy New Financial Year!!
Now the 2022 - 2023 financial year has ended, it's time to rest , reflect and recalibrate.
July is a great time to set goals around what direction you want you business to go in the next 12 months and how you are going to achieve that goal.
Creating reels is a great way to draw attention to your product or service.
This is a edited video of a conversation I had this morning with my foster dog Benny.
