I met this beautiful soul, Belinda Ferguson sometime in 2009ish. It was one of the first faces that greeted me at Pacific Harbour, Bribie Island. I had just moved from Melbourne to Qld to take up a role with QM Properties on Bribie Island.
Last week Belinda Ferguson flew up to Townsville and drove me back from Townsville to the Sunny Coast.
I had left my car in Townsville after returning back and forth to deal with a few medical challenges over the past 8 weeks.
Thank you dearly my friend. It was a special moment as we headed south and visited the town of my birth, Bowen. I tell most people that I was born in Bowen under a large mango tree. I'm sticking to this story unless my mother chooses to dispute such a story. Either way, it was a special memory.
We also had a stopover in 1770...a beautiful destination.

I had the pleasure to travel to Alice Springs, Australia in April 2022 to meet Rhoda Roberts AO, Curator of the Parrtjima Festival 2022.
Our the trip to Alice Springs was part of a short vacation with my son to enjoy the Parrtjima Festival and to deeper our understanding of our First Nations Community - it was a magic eight-day journey.
Who is Rhoda Roberts? Rhoda Roberts is a Bundjalung woman, a nurse, journalist, broadcaster, actor, producer, writer, art advisor, and artistic director. Rhoda is also responsible for a lot of major cultural moments in Australia, from the Awakening Ceremony during the opening of the Sydney Olympics in 2000 to coining the phrase Welcome to Country.
As a leader in the Australian and First Nations Community, Rhoda was awarded the Order of Australia (AO) in 2016 for "distinguished service to the performing arts through a range of leadership and advocacy roles in the development, promotion and presentation of contemporary Indigenous culture."

In another podcast, hosted by accalimed journalist, Narelda Jacobs called, 'No Filter,' story entitled, 'Now is the time to awaken those sleeping spirits," Narelda describes Rhoda Roberts as one of the most influencial Australians going.

An extraordinary Australian, Rhoda tells all and provides and honest and inspiring insight into the exciting opportuity we have to celerate our first nations culture - the oldest culture on earth.

We pay respect to elder’s past, present and emerging of the Arrernte (pronounced Arrunda) people - the traditional owners of Mparntwe (pronounced m'barn-twa) the land we shared in Alice Springs where we recorded this podcast.

I meet Wildlife Pioneer and Owner of Saltwater Ecology, Brian (Briano) Coulter as he shares his life journey from growing up in Country Victoria, Australia to teaming up with his great late friend and surfing buddy, Steve Irwin.
Together they travel the globe forging a long partnership that ended off the Great Barrier Reef in eachothers arms in 2006 when Steve Irwin sadly passed away.
This is a remarkably humbling and respectful story splashed with enornmous passion, energy and learnings.
Beware - Briano loves hugging crocodiles and koalas and supports the AFL Saint Kilda Team- his mighty saints plus he can be seen diving around rocks, climbing mountains with family or just skating the water aboard his surfboard at Moffat Beach, Queensland.

Saturday arvo used to be our best part of our family week and I’ve missed this for years plus I mis the good company n banter I used to share with my children’s Mum over many pots of T2 Black Tea..

It was a magnificent progressive Brisbane luncheon to celebrate Maeve Alice Brown’s (my favourite daughter) 21st Bday. All starting with entree n main at the Continental in New Farm and back to the Adrian Gabrielli Janine Gabrielli waterfront abode for desert n games
Thank you 🙏 so much for the magic day. To have my beautiful daughter with me for 5 days fills my heart to the max. Blessed .. grateful..

It really was a rewarding gathering to see the weekend out. Really appreciated being welcomed to the headland crispy gathing .. laughter..crazy stories...fashion..nibbles..debrief.. thankyou rooster Kris Gear .. I didn't capture anything like Cameron Muir sunset shot but he's a few fash and modelling shots. I didn't mean to poke my finger where it wasn't needed but hey .. you can't help what these contemporary photographers create..
I'm merely an unpaid model looking for a big break...a WOW pay day..

As has become a small tradition.. .mate returns from mine...excuse to head out to our favourite Vietnamese.. oh I also need a washer for my hot water tap..first load of washing coming up in the new palace..oh and yes my favourite lollie a licorice all sort.. spontaneous acts breed happiness. My mum always included LAS amongst our treats.
The Vietnamese was absolutely delicious.. thanks for your company Brett Willson..
