! Juluka Projects Share Holder “MOSES MPOFU” Lawyers writes a letter to claim payment from Harare City Cancel for street lights work which the contract was cancelled when the job was approximately 65% done

According to the letter of demand authored by Nyahuma Law firm, Mpofu ‘s company Juluka Projects and Plant Hire entered a contract with Harare City Council to install streetlights with a price of US$1 745 570.21 (in May 2024) and the project reached 65 percent completion before Harare City Council inexplicably suspended it citing ‘legal challenges’

“You are obviously aware that upon the grant of the contract, and reasonably so, our client secured all the materials necessary for the completion of the works. Some of the paraphernalia was utilised up to the date of your suspension of the agreement. The materials necessary for the completion of the works are still in our client’s hands but our client is incurring huge costs in storage, security and other charges. In this regard, our client instructs that if you do not settle its aforesaid Invoice as indicated herein above, then you shall be liable for the damages being suffered by it pursuant to your breach of the contract,”read art of the letter addressed to Acting Town Clerk Engineer Mabhena.
