UPDATE ON THE ONGOING RECRUITMENT AND TRAINING OF FINANCIAL COUNSELORS ACROSS THE COUNTRY AT THE LOCAL AUTHORITY LEVEL
On the 17th of March, 2023 FINGEN MONEY GENIUS GROUP commenced the ongoing Nationwide Recruitment of Financial Counsellors (FC) through Local Authorities across the country. Special thanks to the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development and indeed Council Secretaries and Town Clerks that have facilitated the commencement of the said recruitment.
We are an organization providing financial education under the Second National Strategy on Financial Education for Zambia (NSFE II), coordinated through the Ministry of Finance and National Planning. The target groups are Marketeers and Small-Scale Farmers both in rural and urban areas.
Over the few weeks of recruitment, we have observed the following Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) and would like to respond and provide clarifications to ensure continuous and smooth recruitment.
1. Who qualifies to apply to be trained as a Financial Counsellor?
Ans.
Any person who meets the basic requirements, a person who is between the ages of 15-35, knows how to read and write and has a basic understanding of arithmetic.
2. How can I apply?
Ans.
Kindly visit our website www.fingnmgg.org and look for the section that says 'Employment Opportunity' and fill in your details. After entering your details, deposit a training fee of K200 in our NATSAVE account 2101172754902 or use KAZANG/SPENN through this phone number +260767669110.
3. How many Financial Counselors are needed?
We have a target of recruiting 25 000 Financial Counsellors countrywide to be able to provide financial education to 1.1 million Smallholder farmers and marketeers, therefore, many youths are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity! There is still room for more applicants.
4. Is the K200 an employment fee?
Ans.
No, we do not charge for employment. The K200 is only a payment towards the training materials and lessons of applicants. And everyone who will deposit the K200 will be admitted to undergo the training and likely to be employed as a FC
4. When will the training commence?
Ans.
The training will take place in April 2023.
All successful applicants will be notified of the details and date of commencement of training on Monday, 3rd April 2023 through their email addresses.
5. When does work commence?
Ans.
Immediately after undergoing training all successfully trained applicants will be given their employment contracts and expected to start working.
