ZiCTA comes in to push for compensation for airtel customers who have been greatly inconvenienced due to poor network service.

Zicta corporate communication manager Hanford Chaaba said the authority is concerned on the in communicated outrageous on the network. The authority has recommended Airtel Zambia to find effective jeans to prevent future disruptions in reception.

Chief government spokesperson Cornelius Mweetwa says party wrangles are normal but should always go with tolerance and coexistence.

Responding yesterday to the recent expulsion of nine MPs in the PF by Miles Sampa led faction, Mr Mweetwa who is also the head in ministry of information and media says in the growing democracy dialogue is key and not to just resolt to extreme punishment to the alleged undisciplined.
He said the government would like to see a strong democracy where opposing views are embraced.

The PF faction of Sampa had earlier axed some lawmakers which means if the move is legalized the country will go into by-elections amid economical woes.

HUGE INVESTMENT IN COPPERBELT PEEPING.

Yesterday the citizen economic empowerment commission -CEEC gave out tractors to a beneficiary cooperative in Kitwe at the recently commisioned kitwe industrial yard.

In attendance was Copper belt pronvice minister Elisha matambo and UPND senior party officials.

Earlier the entourage had gone to commission the first ever mining machine manufacturing plant in the country situated in Kalulushi district of the copperbelt province.

With the investiment muscle of $20 million which is likely to go up to $50 million the plant in its full capacity will manufacture heavy earth moving equipment not only to Zambian mining sector but also to the southern African region.
The company -NIUPU MACHINARY ZAMBIA LiMITED CO which is a Chinese firm in partnership with a Zambian firm is expected to create over 1000 direct jobs and more through contractors and suppliers

TRAIN OFF THE RAIL.

Kafue.
A Zambia railways train has derailed in Kafue district.
The accident involved a Howo truck a property of sino.
It is reported that the truck driver wanted to beat the speed of the train at the rail crossing which ended up being hit.

The truck driver has been rushed to the hospital and luckily no death has been recorded in the accident.

The road development agency has provided update on Luanginga and silinda bridges construction works in kalabo district.

Physical progress for the construction works on the 142 metres Luanginga Bridge in Kalabo District in Western Province now stands at 100% complete.

Works on the 1.8 kilometre embankment connecting to the next bridge across the Silanda River has also reached an advanced stage with physical progress standing at 80%.

In addition, physical progress on the Silanda Bridge with a span of 129 metres has attained 90% with most of the superstructure already erected.

The connecting road between the two bridges will be constructed to bituminous standard.

To avert the flooding between these two bridges, three box culverts are also being constructed to more climate resilient standard.

Two of these box culverts have already been completed and works on the remaining box culvert are progressing well. The project is expected to be completed by the end of 2023.

One of the destructed infrastructure is a class room block at buyantanshi primary school of magam area where a roof has been blown off. Nsokoloko ward councilor Kabila says the Disaster managemnt and mitigation unit are on the ground to ascertain the impact caused and subsequently give assistance to the victims. He said he is not sure how expedited the works will be to restore the roof at buyantanshi primary school dispite the urgency in regards to grade nine examinations starting tomorrow Wednesday 22nd of November.
