PICTURES: Triple Murder Suspect Jaison Muvevi Brought To Court. Complains Of Ill-Treatment

Jaison Muvevi, the triple murder suspect appeared at the Harare Magistrates court today to face trial.

The alleged murderer complained to the magistrate that he has been denied sleep by the ZRP officers. He also requested a lawyer, reported ZimLive.

“They added extra handcuffs and hung me from a bar (with the handcuffs)”

Muvevi was arrested in Mozambique on Monday, 16 January after being on the run for 3 days. He is alleged to have murdered 3 people in Wedza on Friday 13 January 2023, one of them a ZRP Officer in Charge for Wedza, Inspector Maxwell Hove.

He shot Hove during a shootout with the police after the officers responded to a murder he was accused of. Muvevi is himself a former ZRP officer but was now a gold dealer.

Ex-Dynamos Player Killed By His Pitbull Dogs

Some rather horrible news. The ex-Dynamos and Zambia international Philemon Mulala has been killed by his pitbull dogs in the North West.

As reported by The South African website on Sunday, a wife in Lichtenburg, Potchefstroom discovered her husband died after he was attacked by his own three Pitbull dogs.

“We remain with wonderful memories that the late Philemon honoured us with on the pitch. There is a lot that today’s players can learn from the deceased’s generation,” the Football Association of Zambia General Secretary Adrian Kashala said.

The man has since been identified as the former Dynamos and Zambia international Philemon Mulala, 60. The news was further confirmed by his former teammate Marks Maponyane on Twitter

WhatsApp will stop working on iPhone 6s, Samsung Galaxy S2, Sony Xperia Miro and others from November 1

WhatsApp has recently updated its minimum system requirements and this means that it would end support for the older devices

WhatsApp will stop working on old devices from November 1.
WhatsApp would drop support for Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich, iOS 9, and KaiOS 2.5.0 from November 1, 2021.
So before the app stops working on your phone, you can back up your chats to Google Drive.
If you have been holding on to your old device, it is time to let it go. WhatsApp has recently updated its minimum system requirements and this means that it would end support for the older devices. WhatsApp on its page updated its requirements and revealed that would drop support for Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich, iOS 9, and KaiOS 2.5.0 from November 1, 2021. WhatsApp had previously ended support for older devices in December 2020.

WhatsApp in its FAQ page stated that it will provide support for Android running OS 4.1 and newer, iPhone running iOS 10 and newer and phones running KaiOS 2.5.1 newer, including JioPhone and JioPhone 2. “Once you have one of these devices, install WhatsApp and register your phone number. WhatsApp can only be activated with one phone number on one device at a time,” WhatsApp said. So if your phone is running on Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich, iOS 9, and KaiOS 2.5.0, you should either update the software of your device if it is eligible for an upgrade or get a new phone.

In case you do not upgrade your phone before November 1, WhatsApp will stop working on your phone, and you will not be able to send or receive messages on the app. If you do not wish to spend on a new phone, you can simply update your phone before the said date if your phone is eligible.

So before the app stops working on your phone, you can back up your chats to Google Drive. If you uninstall WhatsApp from your phone but don't want to lose any of your messages, be sure to manually back up your chats before uninstalling.

Chinamasa Hospitalised After Road Accident

ZANU PF acting political commissar Patrick Chinamasa has been hospitalised at a private hospital in Harare after he was involved in an accident near Rusape Town after he allegedly rammed into a truck carrying scrap metal.
Reports say the accident happened at around 18:45 pm yesterday.
Chinamasa is said to have complained of chest pains and was rushed to Rusape Hospital before he was transferred to a private hospital in Harare.
“It’s true comrade Chinamasa was involved in an accident at a 12-kilometer peg after Rusape, before the tollgate. He was rushed to Rusape Hospital and later transferred to Harare as he was complaining of chest pains,” a source said.
“Chinamasa was driving the party vehicle but l think he is recovering well,” said another source.
Zanu PF Manicaland provincial chairperson Mike Madiro was among senior party officials who rushed to see Chinamasa at Rusape Hospital soon after the accident. However, Madiro, who is also the Deputy Transport Minister, was unreachable for comment.
Police are still to comment on the matter.
