Difference between a Learnership, Internship and a Traineeship.

A learnership is a work based learning programme that leads to an NQF registered qualification. Learnerships are directly related to an occupation or field of work, for example, electrical engineering, hairdressing or project management. Learnerships are managed by Sector Education and Training Authorities (SETAs).

An internship is short-term work experience offered by companies and other organizations for people, usually students or people who have already completed a qualification to get some entry-level exposure to a particular industry or field.

A trainee is commonly known as an individual taking part in a trainee program within an organization after having graduated from higher and technical courses. A trainee is an official employee of the firm that is being trained to the job they were originally hired for. Literally, a trainee is an employee in training.

I hope you keep pushing. I know it’s hard and that there are a million things going on around you but stay focused. Stay passionate about where you’re headed, even if you don’t know exactly where that is yet. At least you’re moving. Sometimes, you find where you’re supposed to be by simply choosing a direction and taking a step. Be good to the people along the way. Keep true to what you love and the kind of life you want to live. Keep pushing, you could be almost there and not even know it.
