Shebeshxt faces backlash for seemingly drinking and driving months after fatal crash that killed his daughter

Limpopo musician Shebeshxt has angered people after a video showed alcohol in his new car, just months after a crash that killed his young daughter.

The video shows Shebeshxt, whose real name is Lehlogonolo Chauke, with a bottle of alcohol near the driver’s seat. Other clips show his passengers drinking in the car.

Social media users are divided. While some defend him, saying he is just having fun, others are worried about drinking and driving, especially after his deadly accident in June.

Dr Irvin Khoza linked to claims Senzo Meyiwa was shot by mistake in the house

In a tense moment during the Senzo Meyiwa murder trial, Advocate George Baloyi objected to the admissibility of a controversial statement, dismissing it as "triple hearsay."

The statement alleges that Sfiso Meyiwa, Senzo's brother, claimed Dr Irvin Khoza had told him that television reports about the case were false and that Senzo was shot by mistake by someone inside the house.

Baloyi argued that such evidence, passed through multiple layers of hearsay from Khoza to Sfiso and then to the court, was highly unreliable.

“This is not just double hearsay; it is triple hearsay and should not be accepted,” Baloyi argued, challenging its credibility.

Advocate Zandile Mshololo, representing some of the accused, responded by announcing the defense’s intention to call Sfiso Meyiwa as a witness. When Baloyi pressed further, asking whether Irvin Khoza would also be summoned to testify, Mshololo said, “We will consult with all these parties and indicate at a later stage."

B3 Funeral parlour 'cremates' body by mistake!

A WELL-KNOWN funeral parlour faces scrutiny.

This after the funeral parlour allegedly cremated a body by mistake.

On Friday, 29 November, a family from Wattville in Benoni, Ekurhuleni, waited for Batho Batsho Bakopane (B3) Funeral Parlour to deliver the body, but it never arrived.

Speaking to Daily Sun, the husband, despite his relatives' objections, bravely shared his version of events.

He said they were deeply concerned when his wife's body didn’t arrive as scheduled on Friday, 29 November.

Neighbours and friends in Wattville had gathered outside the house to welcome their departed neighbour back.

The husband said while they waited anxiously, the dead woman's son, who is his stepson, entered the house in a rage.

"He was in a fighting mood, accusing me of authorising the cremation of his mum, which shocked me."

He said the crowd eventually calmed him down, and he contacted his relatives at the mortuary to find out what had happened. He was told by the funeral parlour, operating out of their Benoni office, that the coffins had been switched by mistake.

"I froze as people had gathered to receive my wife's remains."

Mourners had to be informed that the body was not delivered as it had been cremated. The issue is now addressed by the family's lawyer.

A nearby resident, who wished to remain anonymous, expressed disbelief at how B3 could make such a big error.

Meet Dr Luxolo Mdolo who did two medical qualifications simultaneously

Luxolo received the prestigious Bongani Mayosi Award, and as his name was announced as the winner, the audience erupted in cheers, and he received a standing ovation – clearly very deserving of the honour.

Not one to shy away from challenges, Luxolo completed a BSc in Molecular Medicine at the same time as doing his MBChB. When asked whether that wasn’t challenging – he said that it was absolutely worth it for the learning process.

His personal journey is that having had opportunities and been inspired himself, he wants to inspire others. He does this at schools, where he works with and inspires learners.

In 2025, he is heading for Grey’s hospital in Pietermartizburg, which is relatively close to where he grew up on the border of the Eastern Cape and KwaZulu Natal

He commented that UCT provided him with amazing experiences to learn from other people and to meet incredible people. He said that by embracing these amazing people, they, in turn, embraced him.

Jay-Z named in lawsuit alleging Slsexual assault of minor at 2000 VMAs party

A civil lawsuit has been refiled accusing rapper Jay-Z of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl at a 2000 MTV Video Music Awards afterparty.

The plaintiff, identified as Jane Doe, originally named Sean “Diddy” Combs in the October filing but included Jay-Z on December 8.

Both artists have denied the allegations.

Jay-Z's legal team described the claims as an extortion attempt, while Diddy’s representatives dismissed the lawsuit as a publicity stunt.

The case is set to proceed in court.

Ghanaian man defrauds Limpopo woman of R1.8 million in dating scam

A Ghanaian man is on the run after allegedly defrauding his girlfriend from Burgersfort, Limpopo, of R1.8 million in a dating scam. The woman, a former teacher, met the suspect in January 2023 at Tubatse Crossing Mall. By August, the two had entered into a romantic relationship.

In October, the man proposed they start a trucking business, claiming he had found two trucks available for purchase at R3 million. Persuaded by the idea, the woman transferred R1.8 million to a designated account at a bank in Phalaborwa.

However, the promised trucks were never delivered. Attempts to contact the man were futile, as he became unreachable and disappeared without a trace.

Investigations by the Hawks revealed that the money was deposited into the account of Mohoto Mangwejana, who has since been arrested in North West. Mangwejana appeared in the Praktiseer Magistrate Court, facing charges of theft and fraud. His bail application is scheduled for 11 December 2024.

Meanwhile, the search for the Ghanaian suspect continues. This case serves as a stark reminder to exercise caution when making significant financial decisions, particularly in personal relationships.

Man arrested for robbing empty G4S cash carrier

An alleged cash-in-transit robber, 24-year-old Thomas Zwiafana Nethavhani was remanded in custody when he appeared before the Mutale Magistrate's Court in Limpopo.

The Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation, also known as the Hawks, said Nethavhani is facing four charges related to cash-in-transit crime. He appeared in court on Friday and was remanded in police custody until Wednesday.

“This follows his arrest by the Musina-based Hawks serious organised crime investigation unit and tactical response team of Vhembe district on December 5 2024,” said Mpumalanga Hawks spokesperson, Warrant Officer Lethunya Mmuroa.

In July 2023, members of G4S Cash Solutions in Makhado arrived to collect money from a shop at Tshilamba Mutale complex.

Mmuroa said upon arrival at the shop, the G4S guard was told that available cash was not enough to be collected.

When returning to the vehicle, he was confronted by two suspects. They pointed fi****ms at him and robbed him of an empty cross-pavement carrier, firearm, and 14 rounds of ammunition. The suspects allegedly fired three shots at the G4S truck and drove away with a red BMW,” said Mmuroa.
