The Hazyview Herald is a small community newspaper in the Lowveld Media Group, of which about 3 500 copies are distributed in the Hazyview area. Topics mainly cover the day to day activities, interests, local issues, hobbies and social gatherings of mostly residents or visitors to the town. Since the town is a “gateway” to the Kruger National Park and a lot of the residents and rural communities a

re involved in the KNP, the newspaper also covers some events in the park. Local government issues only cover those concerning traffic, licencing, water and sewerage problems, since the town also falls under the larger Mbombela Local. The town is well-known for its many tourism establishments, attractions and vibrant farming community.
