I spoke to Dr Yael Joffe PhD RD FACN and Danielle Oldfield Holistic Health Span Guide & Registered Dietitian about genetics, as they unpack my DNA make up.

You know that adage, so and so has forgotten more about [insert subject here] than you will ever know? In Yael’s case we suspect that it might be true. Yael blasted past Malcolm Gladwell’s 10,000 hours and kept on going on her relentless journey to master the emerging field of nutrigenetics.

Danielle is arguably one of the most knowledgeable modern dietitians around, she views dietetics from an holistic stand point and don't like the word diet, she believes in a longer health span rather than a longer lifespan.

I began my own business in 2011 as a Professional Speaker and Specialist Tour Guide, after working with the late David Rattray from 2001 on the Anglo Zulu battlefields, where I honed my unique talent for storytelling.
My ability to bring the drama of these battlefields to life ensured that I rapidly began to establish myself as a world-class orator. I believe there are powerful lessons to be learnt from the remarkable stories of Isandlwana,
Rorke's Drift and early Antarctic and Arctic exploration, which resonate especially with audiences today.
Always confident with people, I thrive on the challenge and reward of entertaining audiences in the theatres of their imagination and transporting them via the power of a story well told.
Since 2004, I have presented extensively in the UK and South Africa to both corporate and private clients. My achievements were recognized with the honour of being invited to speak at the Royal Geographic Society in London to full houses in September 2010 and again in September 2012, when I was invited to showcase my talk "Going South with Scott and Shackleton"; fulfilling my lifelong passion with Antarctica. I then went onto speaking at the Royal Geographical Society in both Hong Kong and Singapore.

Settle into your Systems, don't dream about your Goals!
My goal is to pick up 5kg of muscle and lose two 2kg of body fat in 70 days, but I cant keep on thinking and worrying about the goals, I have to focus on the systems I put in place to reach the goals.
And one of my systems is to follow a training plan for 70 days, and I pitch up every day, doesn't matter the weather or my attitude. If you don't stick to your systems the goals are just dreams.

Richard is a Senior Lecturer in Computer Science at University of the Witwatersrand, Richard achieved his PhD from Wits in 2017 with work in Machine Learning, Computer Vision and Deep Learning.

He is on the organising committee of the Deep Learning Indaba and is the "Machine Intelligence and Learning from Experience (MILE)" Junior Focus
Area Coordinator for the DST-NRF Centre of Excellence in Mathematical and Statistical Sciences.

His interests include artificial intelligence, machine learning, deep learning, computer vision, image processing, natural language processing, high performance computing, data science, music, and e-learning.

South African ultra-endurance athlete Jamie Marais made history by becoming the first and only known person to speed-summit Cape Town's iconic Table Mountain twenty-two times in twenty-eight hours over two days.
Climbing more than sixteen thousand vertical meters - almost twice the height of Everest - his mission was to raise support for the Sabrina Foundation who care for children with special needs and to inspire people to realise that nothing we are facing is too big to overcome.

This was the first in an ongoing series of solo extreme-endurance challenges across various sporting disciplines including vertical running and mountain biking, with each challenge taking place in a dangerous setting in untamed Africa with intensely challenging physical objectives and natural threats including unpredictable weather, brutal mountain passes and dangerous wildlife.

JEAN-JACQUES TROCHON (or JJ as he is more commonly known) spent thirty-two years as a commercial airline pilot for Air France. A French national, he enjoyed an early childhood in Tahiti before finishing his schooling in France and the USA.
In 2003, JJ was diagnosed with aggressive kidney cancer and subsequently underwent the removal of his left kidney. In 2012 and 2014, he underwent further surgeries following the discovery of multiple metastases in both lungs. Despite being given a slim chance of survival, JJ again returned to work in 2016. He captained the world's largest commercial aircraft, the Airbus A380, until his retirement in spring 2020.

Boni Mchunu is one of the most influential businesswomen in South Africa with a focus in KZN. She was acknowledged as top 100 KZN businesswomen by Standard Bank in 2019. Boni is rapidly developing her national reputation as a businesswoman and is gaining recognition as board member with integrity and drive, recently appointed by some reputable institutions and companies.

A former employee to the following companies, ABSA, Unilever and tourism KZN. In 2015 Boni took up the position as East Coast Radio Managing Director, she is the first black woman to be at the helm of East Coast Radio.
Previously, she served Unilever for 7 years and Tourism KZN for 6 years. Her role at TKZN as GM for marketing involved positioning KZN as a prestigious business and leisure destination. Before joining TKZN in 2007, Boni served in a Brand Management capacity at Unilever for seven years, overseeing the marketing of key Unilever brands such as, Knorr, Rama, Stock, Ponds & Sunsilk.
Qualifications: She holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing, a diploma in business management, a diploma in project management, executive leadership certificate from Wits and London Business school and Certificate in Strategic Thinking Using Behavioural Science from – GIBS.

Born and raised in Pietermaritzburg, Boni is passionate about KwaZulu-Natal and South African business. When away from the office, Boni relishes the time with her family. Her philosophy about leadership is, leadership is not about the tittle it is about positive influence and leading yourself to mastery in everything that you do.

Most of us men are conditioned to not show too much emotion, saying I love you to a good guy friend could be challenging for many guys, but most of us do love and appreciate our close guy friends.

If you have a guy friend that's good to you and stand by you, tell him you love him, or at least tell him that you see his efforts and that you respect him for that. If you can't just send him this message or tag him, he will know. 😌

On Sunday WeFeedSA, Itec Group, The Rugby Legends, Checkers and Coo-ee are making 10 000 Burgers and distributing them across KZN. This is going to be a mammoth task but the 100 volunteers will make this happen.
