One Piece is no longer just one of the most successful live-action anime adaptations of all time - it's one of the best shows on Netflix, ever! Here’s an update on some metrics (for score keeping geeks):

1. 10 out of 10. After 10 weeks, One Piece has not yet left Netflix's Top 10.

2. 64 million. That’s the number of viewers who have seen the show from top to bottom - more that the population of South Africa!

3. 500 million. That’s how many hours fans have spent with the straw hats on Netflix. This excludes the hours nasty pirates spent watching pirated versions.

4. Strange Things On Wednesday. When the show went live, it had a bigger global opening than Wednesday or Stranger Things.

5. More S*x. In its first five weeks, S*x Education nabbed 312 million hours of playtime. During that same time frame, One Piece earned 430 million hours, and despite shorter run time.

6. Number 1. Number 1 in 83 countries on its release.

7. Most. The most viewed series worldwide for 4 weeks straight.

8. More Most. The 3rd most watch tv series ever.

With its blend of adventure, compelling characters, and rich storytelling, One Piece sets a new benchmark for success on the streaming platform, captivating audiences worldwide and securing its place as a timeless classic.

One Piece manga creator Eiichiro Oda shared his thoughts “The One Piece live-action series was unveiled to the whole world and I am happy that it was very well-received. Just a thought but if Inaki who played the role of Luffy and the others as well will be on their way to becoming big Hollywood stars, that would mean that I will become a friend of these big Hollywood stars! Isn’t that awesome? Everyone from the cast, please don’t forget about me ok? Well then, I would be drawing in my room as usual.”
