Accelerating Township Economies

Entrepreneurs and business owners from the Western Cape joined the discussion on accelerating township economies.

Mrs. Lungelwa Sigasana-Makaula of Khayelitsha Community Trust (KCT) stressed local supplier inclusion in major projects like the Khayelitsha mall. Ashraf Kariem highlighted the importance of SMMEs in job creation. Regional General Manager of Airports Company South Africa Mark MacLean discussed airport opportunities for community benefit. Cape Town's Deputy Mayor Eddie Andrews emphasized the significance of these forums in driving community economic development. Mthobeli January led the seminar at Dulcie September Hall, on 15 May 2024.
