Valentina Tereshkova (USSR)
Let's start our rating with the first female cosmonaut - Valentina Tereshkova, who flew into space on June 16, 1963 on the Vostok-6 spacecraft. She flew to meet with space with the words: “Hey! Heaven, take off your hat! It is important to note that Valentina is the only woman who went into space alone, and not as part of a crew. And already on June 22, 1963 Tereshkova was awarded the title of "Hero of the Soviet Union".
