We proudly serve the students of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and the greater Whitewater community. Since its inception in 1980, UWW-TV (UW-Whitewater’s campus cable television station) has been an important part of the campus and community, providing news, sports and educational programming produced entirely by students. UWW-TV is part of the campus cable line-up, located on channel 100

.1, and is part of the Spectrum cable line-up in the city of Whitewater and outlying areas on digital channel 989, reaching over 100,000 households in southern and southeastern Wisconsin.

Meet Ciara !!

Role: Student Assistant Supervisor of Network Programming
Year: Senior
“Which fruit or vegetable would you be and why?”: “I would be a raspberry because they are cute, mainly sweet, but sometimes a little tart just like me!"

Ciara is majoring in Electronic Media with the hopes of working in sports media. Ciara works with a team that manages network programming and will be a part of the football broadcasting team in the fall.

When she is not working or in class, Ciara likes to read books, watch hockey, and spend time with her friends.

Congratulations to Angie Carchesi from Franklin, Wisconsin, who earned a B.A. in communication and was hired as a social media specialist with Horizon Home Care & Hospice in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Angie says, "My three proudest achievements during my time as a student are winning several local and national awards for my video and audio work, graduating summa cm laude, and working three jobs while being a full-time student. I'd like to thank all my supervisors at my campus jobs — Jenny Fisco, Jim Mead, Joe Mabie and Brian Lucas — for all their support and for always believing in me."

Congratulations to Drew Best from Oshkosh, Wisconsin, who earned a B.A. in journalism and was hired as a news reporter and multimedia journalist with WBAY-TV in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Drew says, "My biggest achievements at this university include being named the Wisconsin Broadcasters Association Student Leadership Award winner in 2024, being able to announce Warhawk football in the booth, and making the Dean's List in every semester of my college career. I'd like to acknowledge Brian Lucas for pushing me to become the best version of myself and for being one of the most personable role models I could ask for, Jim Mead and Joe Mabie for providing me the opportunity to work at UWW-TV and providing me the necessary tools to pursue my dreams, and Dan Nowak for challenging me to think more critically in class, which helped me become more knowledgeable on a subject I had very little experience with."

Role: Student News Producer
Year: Freshman
“Which fruit or vegetable would you be and why?”: “I would be a Lemon because while some may misinterpret lemons as sour, I would argue that they can be quite sweet. You can put lemon in so many things from savory foods to sweet foods as well as in drinks. I mean who doesn't like lemonade? I like to think of myself as a versatile person.”

Peyton has more recently taken on the role as host for "Whitewater Wind-Down". She is excited to continue working with the TV program staff and see where the next three years will take her.

After College, Peyton hopes to pursue a job in broadcast journalism as a news reporter or anchor. While she isn't at the news station or in class, she can be found at the pool for swim practice, hanging out with her friends, enjoying nature, or playing her guitar.

We are broadcasting the regional rounds of the NCAA DIII Women’s Basketball Tournament! 🏀

Game one featured the Millikin Big Blue vs. the Willamette Bearcats with Evan and Mikey on the call.

Game two starts today at 7:45 and features the UW-Whitewater Warhawks vs. the UMN-Morris Cougars with Gabe and Logan on the call.

The winners of each game will play tomorrow at 7:30.

What a great day to celebrate our team in Green Bay. On Saturday, February 24th, our hard work was rewarded at the 2023-24 WBA awards ceremony. Our crew collected a total of 17 student awards including 10 first places, and our Co-Supervisor of Sports Programming earned the Student Leadership Award. We couldn’t be more proud of this group. Great job, team!!
