My father was always the only person in the family who loved me. However, because of my mother's influence, he couldn't express his love fully. My mother adored my younger sister, Angela, and funneled all the family's finances to her. I always dreamt of growing up and having a family of my own. So, when I met Tom, I was overjoyed. Little did I know what was coming. At a family gathering, I noticed a strange connection between Tom and my sister — there was more than just friendship between them. Today was my first day as a waiter, and it was an absolute nightmare. A guy planned to propose and asked me to place the engagement ring in a glass of champagne. Nervously, I put the glass on what I thought was the right table… It wasn't. She thought her boyfriend (who had no idea about the ring) was proposing. "WHY WOULD RUIN EVERYTHING!?" She screamed. I tried to apologize, but they just would stop screaming... I've never been so mortified in my life. Worst she can say is "NO"? Yeah, right. I would never recover from the story I heard.👇

ENTITLED LANDLORD RAISED OUR RENT BY $650 — WE HAD ENOUGH AND TAUGHT HIM A COSTLY LESSON. My wife and I both bust our butts working full-time. We rented a cheap place to save up for a house. When we met the landlord, Mr. Williams, he gave us the lease. I, not thinking, wrote my income as $100k. He saw it, got all huffy, but faked a smile and said nothing. Then the nightmare started. The place was a dump — fridge, washer, faucets, toilet — everything kept breaking down. He blamed us and refused to fix anything. In addition, he would also come to "check the apartment" unannounced whenever he felt like it, scaring my wife when she was home without me. This went on for a year. When our lease was up, we needed to stay two more months before moving into our own house. Short-term rentals were pricey, so we asked to extend. The landlord agreed but JACKED UP THE RENT BY $650 A MONTH. We had no choice. But when he TOOK OUR ENTIRE DEPOSIT, claiming we trashed the place (even though we cleaned it up), we snapped. After parking the plane, the captain and his first officer followed protocol by waiting for all passengers to disembark before leaving the cockpit. When it was their turn to leave, he opened the cockpit door and saw the flight purser talking to a man who refused to leave the plane. "Everything good here?" Edward asked, approaching them. The flight purser nodded. "I'll give you guys some time." She smiled before walking towards the back of the plane. MY HUSBAND PRETENDED TO RENT OUR HOUSE WHILE HE ACTUALLY OWNED IT – I WENT PALE WHEN I FOUND OUT WHERE OUR RENT MONEY WENT So, I've been super careful with money for years, always saving every penny, never buying anything nice for myself, just so we can pay the rent for our cute little house. Paul and I would both chip in for it, but he was always the one to actually pay the landlord. I never questioned it because I trusted my husband, I mean, we've been together since forever. Anyway, he was off on this short business trip, and I thought, "He's doing so much for us, I'll just take care of the rent this month and surprise him." MY HUSBAND LEFT ME WITH KIDS AND ALL THIS HEAVY LUGGAGE TO GET HOME ON MY OWN WHILE HE HUNG OUT WITH FRIENDS – THE LESSON I TAUGHT HIM WAS HARSH. After a lovely family vacation with our two kiddos, it was time to come back home. Tom, my husband, said he'd pick us up from the airport. But when we landed, there was no sign of him. SOMEONE GIFTED ME $7,340 AND A NOTE TO RUN AWAY AS MY WEDDING GIFT – WHEN I FOUND OUT WHO WAS BEHIND IT, I DID AS TOLD Last weekend, I married my long-time boyfriend, Dan. After the ceremony, we had the reception in a lovely hall nearby. As we were opening gifts later in the evening, I noticed an envelope with my name in the pile. MY MOTHER-IN-LAW MADE ME LEAVE THE BIRTHDAY PARTY I ORGANIZED FOR HER IN TEARS. I've been married to my husband for two years, and well, I'm of a different race than him, which my mother-in-law clearly doesn't like. She even left me out of family photos, saying I'm not really family. Thank goodness my husband has always had my back in these situations. So, it was her birthday last weekend, and despite everything, I just really wanted to keep things normal, for my husband's sake.
