Lifestyle is everything.
The bulk of my recreational memories lay in all the summers I spent at the local park where I grew up The Pound Ridge Park, like many local parks in small towns in Northern Westchester, is a baseline for where we all hang out year by year as kids.
In my case, starting with my first job as an umpire at the baseball fields there, then becoming a camp counselor, and even competing on the swim and baseball teams.
My entire year revolved around these activities.
Now at Cummings Park in Stamford, where I live, I caught myself reminiscing and feeling grateful for those memories.
Itās funny how places can bring you right back to those defining moments. š
