📣 Introducing an Inspiring Story in the July Issue of Northern Connection Magazine! 🌟

Meet Jen Marasco-Kuhn, a Family Network Ambassador for the Dravet Syndrome Foundation (DSF), and her incredible daughter, Cora. Dravet syndrome, a severe developmental and epileptic encephalopathy, affects one in every 15,700 births. This syndrome, characterized by frequent and prolonged seizures, brings numerous challenges to affected families.

Jen shares her heartfelt journey from the moment Cora experienced her first seizure at just five months old to navigating the complexities of this rare condition. Despite the fear and uncertainty, Jen found solace and support through the DSF, connecting with parents worldwide who understand the intricacies of Dravet syndrome.

In our latest issue, Jen opens up about the trials, triumphs, and daily life with Cora. She also discusses her motivation to become a Family Network Ambassador, advocating for research, awareness, and a future without Dravet syndrome.

Since the arrival of COVID, we’ve all become aware of pandemics, but there is one that’s flying under the radar, wreaking havoc on our children’s health. “Ninety percent of children show signs of small jaw syndrome,” says Dr. Leslie Pasco, D.M.D., leading to issues like ADHD symptoms, behavioral problems, snoring, poor sleep, and more. These problems often follow children into adulthood if not addressed.
