The Post-Gazette is moving away from covering of municipal and school board meetings, beginning next week. They want the suburban freelancers to cover trends or do features for some of the Sunday sections, such as the story I wrote on the award-winning dress made from black face masks by some senior FCS students at North Allegheny that ran in the goodness section on 1/2.

There were only 3 suburban freelancers in the first place, and one has already quit. I will give it a shot but covering night meetings worked well with my daytime job.

However, if the PG is not paying me to cover meetings, I doubt very much that I am going to torture myself with 5 hours of NA meetings just to post here and on Twitter. I will keep checking agendas and, if something looks promising, may tune in as long as they all continue to stream.

So....if anyone knows of any "trends," interesting features, good deeds or health stories, send them my way. If you are p---ed about the lack of local government coverage, direct your ire to the powers-that-be at the Post-Gazette.
