It's the first Blizzard Warning of the season!!! Strong winds will lead to blowing snow for the Sierra from 4am Thursday - 10am Sunday. Travel in the Sierra will be essentially non-existent. Plan for potential power outages.
Also, it's the lowest snow of the season arriving during the day Saturday. Lower foothill communities around 2,000 ft could see a few inches of snowfall.
The Sac Valley forecast will include off-and-on showers along with breezy conditions. Thunderstorms are also possible on Friday and Saturday.
