I love and follow Jesus only.

I am a family guy and hang with them over everyone else

I like a good Chianti

I have a political opinion that you will only know if you’re my good friend

Dogs over cats

I love all my local musicians

God does not tempt, nor does he cause you to sin. But people sin every day, and their sins have devastating consequences. There are all kinds of events happening every day that are not caused by God. The Bible makes it perfectly clear that God never causes anyone to sin.

Pastors and churches in our hectic times are harassed by the temptation to seek size at any cost. The mixed multitude cries for quantity and will not forgive a minister who insists upon solid values and permanence. the ill-taught members of his flock scorn his slow methods and demand quick results.

We who follow Christ are men and women of eternity. We must put no confidence in the passing scenes of the disappearing world. Nothing less than forever is long enough for us. We dwell with God and take our values from the Ancient of Days. We are planning for that long eternity when days and years have passed away and time is no more.

I often hear people say, “I wish I could______” (play piano, work on cars, play sports, etc)

But God has given each of us gifts and talents. Some are doctors, teachers, mechanics. Some sew, paint, sing. There are thespians, musicians and dancers. Those who disciple, pray, encourage.

What are your gifts and talents? Find out. Then use them to the best of your ability. Don’t worry about what others gifts are, use yours. Use them for the glory of the Almighty!
