Why Tullahoma

Why Tullahoma This page will provide information about things in town that are good, bad and in-between.

It may help residents say what they see as problems or just review places w/o having to tolerate the rudeness of some people.

Super Buys of Tullahoma ,nice store too bad half the customers are rude and disrespectful!

Great bargains and the employees are willing to help you find out what's inside a box so ask them and don't open boxes in the bins.

08/25/2024

If you're upset that a rescue has no room for the cat/kittens you found, complain at all the people who didn't spay their female cat and gave away the kittens for free, be upset with the people who don't think they have to neuter their male cats since it won't be the one giving them more kittens to feed. These are most of the reason that rescues are full and the rescuers are sick of getting complaints from people, the volunteers are tired of the excuses and lack of intelligence in the community.

Bin store customers are acting like annoying kids, sad that place has to announce every 5 minutes that you DO NOT open the boxes. I would be changing people $10.00 (their highest price) for anytime they open a box while they are in the bins. They have tables and employees who will help if people asked, and the rules are in 2 languages on every sign and announcement so there's no excuse. They are a store just like any other store, do you people do this everywhere???

If you have access to drones, please help out, please share this information from the TBI. Tennessee Bureau of Investigation . We have lost too many children in this state already.

Just to update folks, there was a sighting of a coyote near Foodlion, watch your pets. It would be great if the city had school buses because between the animals losing their homes to development and the extreme temperatures, little ones shouldn't be walking alone to school, and let's not forget the human predators this city is full of.

08/06/2024

If you actually care about your dogs, stop letting them roam around. It's not the city's job to go keep bringing your dog home. Learn about the breed before you go get it, puppies turn into dogs, same as kittens turn into cats. Stop getting animals just because they are cute.

In case you didn't know it's very dry out and settling off fireworks could cause fires. If you are letting your children play with fireworks and they are using them to scare people's pets, you are going to find that your neighbors will no longer be polite and they will call the police and record what's going on.....EVERYTIME.

06/29/2024

Keep your dogs in your yard, in your house and on a leash if you're walking it, it might be friendly to humans but if it goes after people's pets, you will lose your dog. Especially if it comes on private property.

This is a huge part of the problem !!!!!!! Spay / neuter those free kittens people !!!!!! 🤨

04/30/2024

This needs to be said, even if people don't like the truth. All the people giving away kittens are a BIG reason rescues are low on funds and have no room to take in kittens, people are too lazy to get their cat, male and female to the vet to prevent there being all these unwanted, thus "free" kittens. Guess what if a person only wants a free kitten, it pretty much means that cat will end up not getting fixed and there will be more kittens. So for any person upset about the stray population or angry that they can't just give their cat/kittens to a rescue, understand that if people were better pet owners, the issue would get better. It is NOT hard to get help to get a cat fixed, rescues would rather help "fix" a cat than hear that there's kittens for free yet again. Rescues are actually losing the people who volunteer to foster cats and kittens because they are tired, NOT of the animals but because of people not doing anything to help. Soon there will be no rescuers because they have given up on people doing their part by vetting their pets.

THIS is what TNR does, too bad too many people only want to complain about the cat colonies instead of helping in a humane way to lessen the amount of them.

Trap-Neuter-Return Stabilizes Feral Cat Colonies

Colonies that are involved in TNR diminish in size over time.

***During an 11-year study of TNR at the University of Florida, the number of cats on campus declined by 66%, with no new kittens being born after the first four years of operation.
***A study of the impact of TNR on feral cat colonies in Rome, Italy, also observed colony size decrease between 16% and 32% over a 10-year period.
***Trap-Neuter-Return quickly stabilizes feral cat populations by instantly ending reproduction and by removing socialized cats from the colony.

A TNR program at Texas A&M University neutered 123 cats in its first year, and found no new litters of kittens the following year.
***Over the course of the same study, 20% of the cats trapped were found to be socialized stray cats and adopted.

Imagine if all the people living in the s**t hole apartment complexes in Tullahoma actually stood together about the mold factories they are living in (which just gets painted over w/ the cheapest paint that can be found. Owners of these places are pretty much ALL slum lords; and it's known by the city officials, they just don't give a damn.

FROM THE WINY RADIO NEWSROOM: (PUTNAM) A notice of a lawsuit was served today by State Marshal Richard Smith to the apartment complex management, Konover Residential Corporation, at The Lofts At Cargill Falls Mill in downtown Putnam, Smith tells WINY.

Smith says he also served a notice of a lawsuit from the same individual, a self-representing tenant whose complaint says he and his wife have mold and breathing-related concerns, to property owner Leanne Parker on Tuesday.

As reported by WINY, dozens of tenants at Cargill Falls Mill have been seeking legal recourse against the complex through Attorney Scott Camassar’s office, raising complaints about mold as well as lead, water leaks, pests and other concerns.

However, this particular tenant has chosen to represent himself for his complaint, Marshal Smith tells WINY.

Imagine a place like this in Tullahoma, maybe people who need to do community service or volunteer work on college applications or maybe people paying it forward when they get help from the humane society.

Co-owner Brandi Hodge told News 2 this week The Catio is allowing any student, staff member or parent of The Covenant School an opportunity for some kitty comfort free of charge.
