We are proud to announce that RRCU has donated $1,000 and several cases of water to the Beverly Community Center in Texarkana. These donations will go directly towards assisting those whose homes were impacted by the recent storms brought in by Hurricane Beryl.

A special weather statement has been issued for Longview TX, Texarkana TX and Texarkana AR until 5:30 PM

At 449 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Arkinda to near Atlanta to Smithland to 6 miles west of Tatum. Movement was east at 40 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.

Locations impacted include...
Longview, Texarkana, Marshall, Kilgore, White Oak, Atlanta, Wake
Village, Ashdown, New Boston, Foreman, Vivian, Hallsville, Nash,
Hooks, Overton, Waskom, Jefferson, Linden, De Kalb, and Queen City.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle.

These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

Attention Texarkana residents: The Beverly Neighborhood Association is coordinating donations and relief efforts at the Beverly Community Center, located at 901 Lumpkin St., Texarkana, Texas.

Support Services:
- Lunch Availability: Impacted Beverly residents can receive lunch at the Beverly Community Center from between 12:00 pm and 2:00 pm.

- Cooling Station🧊: For those still without power, a cooling station will be available from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm.
