Your Stupid Criminal story for my last show comes from Providence, RI, where a 62-year-old North Kingstown contractor, brazenly fired off emails to federal investigators declaring them "Bozos” too dumb to nab him for bankruptcy fraud. They did. He used COVID relief money to buy rental property in Warwick through a straw buyer to hide its ownership. And when they did find it, he filed for bankruptcy to keep authorities from getting it. Judge McConnell ordered Ricci to report to federal prison on July 11. He must also pay back a pandemic-relief loan of $129,306 and pay the IRS $77,568 in restitution.

Fabulous Friday to you!!! It's the last day of May and my last show for KiX Country. Twas a bit cool this morning but going up into the 80s today with very little chance of rain. But that changes for the weekend with higher chances of rain. It's all in Mississippi today.

Your Stupid Criminal story for today comes from Australia, one burglar picked the wrong house to break into. That’s because the homeowner is a martial arts expert and unleashed a beatdown on this guy. Camera footage from inside her home shows her on the verge of putting him in an armlock before he managed to free himself and flee empty-handed. While the beatdown left the shopkeeper's knuckles bloodied, she emerged otherwise unscathed.

Your Stupid Criminal story for today comes from Tangipahoa County, LA, where 2 inmates escaped the perimeter fence of the Parish Jail while participating in their recreation time on the yard. They thought the smell of a dumpster behind a Dollar General would confuse the dogs. It did not. 🤣

Your Stupid Criminal story for today comes from Sebring, FL, where a group of 30 students and 6 adult chaperones boarded a chartered bus to go to the Daytona Lagoon, an amusement park in Daytona Beach. However, it wasn’t long into the trip when they realized something was wrong. They suspected the driver was impaired and tried to get him to stop the bus. Instead he ran through 2 red lights and was speeding, but that’s when one of the chaperones called 9-1-1. Another chaperone called her husband and actually 2 of them got in one car to catch up with the bus and try to slow it down and stop it. “When we made it to the roundabout up here, I was like, ‘Get in front of him and let’s make him stop’.” The bus finally came to a stop in the roundabout behind the braking car. And the police showed up seconds later. The driver was arrested, charged with DUI, 30 counts of child endangerment, and immediately fired from that charter bus service.

That's going to do it for me but I hope you have a memorable Memorial Day weekend. Be sure to pause on Monday at 3pm to remember those who fought for our freedoms and didn't make it home. Your Stupid Criminal story for today comes from Orlando, FL, where a 32-year-old male cast member was playing Goofy was taking pictures with a family of four. Three of them on his right-side and the grandma was on his left. That's when the grandma got a little Goofy---meaning she placed her hand on his “butt” and squeezed 3 times. During the squeezing she said, “Woo hoo!” The cast member was NOT cool with this, and had grandma arrested. And that is how it should be. (SMH)

Your Stupid Criminal story for today comes from Covington Co, AL. The guy who was the Chief of Police in Brookside had to resign in January of 2022. (https://www.nbcnews.com/.../alabama-towns-traffic...) But apparently he didn’t turn his badge in. Fast forward to April, he gets pulled over the speeding and uses the badge to get out of the ticket. He was just given a written warning. But when that trooper’s book was reviewed this month, another trooper recognized the name and did a search finding out he had resigned. So now he’s being charged with impersonating a police officer and is getting that speeding ticket. Oh and the judge asked for that badge too. Gotcha!

Your Stupid Criminal story for today comes from Indiana. First this guy hit a Dollar Tree, where he tried to pass a fake $100 bill. He then demanded money from the register. He grabbed the cash and took off, ending up at a Big Lots where he stole more cash. But the second time he also swiped a bag of Funyuns on his way out. Police were able to catch the license plate on surveillance video . . . which made it pretty easy to track him down. When they found his car, they also saw the bag of Funyuns he stole from the Big Lots. Gotcha!
