Update: The ordinance draft was accepted.
The Cat Question
Tonight the Storm Lake city council will read over two edited portions of the animal ordinance concerning animal control and licensure. The council has not moved forward with the proposed Trap-Neuter-Return program which aims to curtail the city's stray cat population. They'll have another work session about TNR tonight during the 5 p.m. council meeting. The current ordinance draft allows for property owners calling about a stray cat to refuse to have it returned.
