Today, we celebrate the incredible life and legacy of a true soul legend, Eddie Floyd, who was born on this day in 1937. From his early days with The Falcons to his iconic solo career at Stax Records, Eddie has given us timeless classics that continue to inspire generations.

Best known for the smash hit "Knock on Wood," Eddie's music has made an indelible mark on the world of R&B and soul. His contributions as a songwriter and performer have not only defined the sound of Stax but have also enriched the fabric of American music.

The highly anticipated Legends In Film 🎥 Festival is set to take place in St. Louis on June 1st! One of the festival’s highlights will be the presence of the legendary icon, Eddie (Knock On Wood), who will be attending to meet the film producers, including his son, Eddie Floyd Jr. In an exciting twist, the movie Eddie (Knock On Wood) Floyd will showcase never-before-seen footage of music-making dating back to the 1950s! To kick off the festivities, the Red Carpet event will commence in Pagedale at the prestigious 24:1 Cinema, located at 6755 Page Ave, starting promptly at 3 pm. Be sure not to be late, as luxury cars will gracefully drop off various legends at the curbside Red Carpet. As the legends make their entrance, the talented Lady J Huston, known for her remarkable collaboration with Albert King, will serenade them with her masterful trumpet 🎺. Once inside the cinema at 4 pm, the incomparable Uvee Hayes will take to the stage and deliver a captivating performance.
