Xennial Productions is the production company of independent actor, writer, director and producer John Frederick Herget IV. Now based in Saint Louis, Missouri, he is an executive producer on the feature-length documentaries My Beautiful Stutter (currently in post-production) and Spectrum City: The Rise of Public Enemy (currently in production). He is director of the short film Something Else, an a
daptation of Robert Moulthrop’s one-act play, and has several other television and theatre projects in development. New York theatre credits as producer include The Orion Experience off-Broadway, Most Likely to Die and Just Like Magic at New York Musical Theater Festival, and served as executive producer of the new musical in development, Paris Through the Window. As assistant to 4-time Tony Award winning producer Richard Winkler, he worked on the Broadway productions of An Act of God, King Charles III, China Doll, Something Rotten!, Hand to God, Disgraced, You Can't Take it With You, the Broadway and national touring productions of Rodgers + Hammerstein's Cinderella and the national tour of A Gentleman's Guide to Love & Murder, and the Off-Broadway productions of Turn Me Loose and I & You. John holds a Bachelors of Arts in Theater from the University of Arkansas, where he was Co-executive producer of Not-A-Penny Productions. Before his career as a producer, he was a development officer at Lambda Legal, the nation’s top LGBT civil rights and advocacy organization, and at Amnesty International USA. John is also an actor and has made numerous appearances on TV and in film, as well as in plays and musicals off-Broadway and regionally.
