ST. LOUIS CITY TURNS INTO GOTHAM CITY OVER THE WEEKEND 😕

When officers arrived for their evening shift there were 17 calls for service at the beginning of the shift. As time progressed the 4th District was holding 55 calls for service, most of which were Code 2 calls. Cars from multiple districts assisted with pending calls. Later on in the evening large groups of pedestrians and vehicles completely blocked Market between 7th and 9th and engaged in a slide show. Many pedestrians were armed with long rifles. According to RTCC stolen vehicles, along with numerous other cars, were doing donuts in the middle of the street.

Members of the group fired shots out the windows. Officers from other districts had to assist with clearing the cars and crowd. Multiple gun shell casing was recovered from the middle of the street. The below still shot illustrates a small portion of the group. The group eventually moved to the Riverfront an altercation occurred that almost resulted in a drowning.
