Thanks again, for joining us live this past Sunday to share some new songs off her upcoming release, Kingdom, coming out 7/26! On top of that, she also programmed the whole show and we talked about the music that shaped her! (And thanks for bearing with me during my first live interview!) Catch her live for the St. Louis CD release show at Lafayette Park 7/27, and if you missed the show, head on over to the archives at kdhx.org! Hopefully I can do more shows like this to introduce all my listeners to some great local talent that St. Louis has to offer!

I guess I’ve been “one too many mornings” behind so the show is moving to daytime hours! Full Circle will now be airing 9 hours later in the day from noon to 2pm for your musical enjoyment. I can’t believe it’s already been about 10 months on air. I’ve really enjoyed connecting with my morning callers and getting to follow the great Carlos G. Charles and his Latin Hemispheres, as well as listen to Jesse and his Poor Man’s Troubles while heading back to bed. There’s plenty of memories for the books there! Be sure to check in this week for a special show… announcement coming tomorrow (but there’s a hint for you in this post).

I got to play an early release of this song on the anniversary of Roland’s passing, but it’s now been released in honor of his heavenly birthday. Play it loud (link in comments) and reminisce of all the good memories with St. Louis’ soul legend. Miss you Roland!

To celebrate what would have been Roland Johnson's 76th birthday, we are happy to release this duet between the Soul Legend and Emily Wallace. It's their take on the Marvin Gaye/Tammi Terrell classic, "Two Can Have A Party".

Please enjoy and share.

It’s and of course we need to celebrate the amazing musical contributions in black music. My opinion is that most music is rooted in black history and a lot of that revolves around the Mississippi River. The next 3 shows we are going to look at black musical history because it impacts all musical history. This week we’re going to start in New Orleans and make our way to Memphis. The week after we’ll start from our hometown of STL and head north curving to Chicago and Detroit. After that we’re going to leave the river and move to the Eastern South and head to Harlem. I’m excited about these shows and hope you tune in Sundays 3-5am!!!

In just about 12 hours I’ll be showcasing some of my favorite albums of the year on the last day of 2023! There were too many great albums that came out this year so it was hard to choose what could fit in a 2 hour show, but I think that’s a good problem to have. Tune in at 3am live on 88.1FM or listen anytime at kdhx.org.
