From Roots to Branches
Isaac, Jordan, Chris, Andy, and Jacob—that’s our team. We grew up together and, for many years, have shared a deep love for all things “film”; be it TV shows, movies, YouTube videos, or even commercials. As far back as middle school, we began making our own, little films together. As the years passed, we honed our skills, increased our education, and expanded our experience. Between the five of us, we have worked on a wide variety of commercial work, ranging from corporate promotion to creating music videos for up-and-coming artists to working in national and international television. Both in production and in editing, we have worked on a variety of major networks. Now, we five are combining our professional experience and creativity as a team, by starting a business: providing full service video production, from conception to completion.
But why name our company “Big Forest”? In addition to us all being Eagle Scouts, each member of our team has a deep connection to the outdoors. We have all spent many years avidly camping, hiking, and backpacking in the wilderness. It’s a shared place of escape, catharsis, and reformation. We’ve all bonded in the woods and it holds a very special place in each of our hearts.
Furthermore, we chose the name “Big Forest” because of its relevance in the realm of storytelling. In all fairy tales and mythologies, the forest is a place of enchantment, chaos, and wonder; a dangerous place with old trees and even older stories. Going into the forest is a test that every knight, every adventurer, and every hero must pass in order to succeed in their mission. The forest is a wild place that only the brave-hearted seekers will journey into; a thrilling, sublime otherworld that anyone who has stood among the the trees and heard the wind in the branches can understand.
Whether you’re an audience member or a client, we, as a company, aim to replicate that incredible feeling for you. We hope to bring that distinct energy to all of the work that we produce, and in turn, invigorate your business.
