Our friend Johnnie Bolin has gone up to the great gig in the sky. Johnnie hosted The B Sides with Eric Blumberg on SPM, bringing our listeners closer to the music they loved. In this old clip, Eric has to twist Johnnie's arm to get him to tell about the (at the time) recent weekend when he played drums behind Joe Bonamassa and Warren Haynes. It was typical Johnnie: soft spoken, modest, and able to fill the world with color. We are grateful for having the chance to know Johnnie, and we are saddened by this great loss.

"I remember our ladies group doing a bake sale where they ordered online, and we had everything prepared and boxed up, and they drove up in the car, and we would hand them their products through the window."
