Tonight storm chances stick to southern Siouxland with a few of our southeastern counties in a marginal risk for severe weather. If storms are able to form the primary threats will be strong and gusty winds and small size hail. The rest of the region can expect increasing cloud cover overnight with lows near the mid 50s and a northern wind between 10 and 15 miles per hour. A cold front that brought parts of Siouxland some storms will continue to move to the east leaving us with mostly clear skies and lows much cooler in the low to mid 50s. Wednesday could give us some lingering morning rain showers before later day thunderstorms could develop, a few of which could be strong to severe with a "marginal risk" of severe storms for much of Siouxland. While parts of western Siouxland saw some rain Monday morning, the rest of Siouxland stayed dry again. Another chance of thunderstorms could form in central Siouxland after midnight with better chances to the east of Sioux City. Lows tonight will be in the mid to upper 60s. Happy last Sunday of summer, Siouxland! We'll round out the summer season with warmth and humidity, but some much needed rain chances will stick with us much of the week and weekend ahead. Showers could get going to the west of I-29 Monday morning, but those will clear off quickly and we should have a partly cloudy and breezy day with highs in the mid to upper 80s. Keep a rain jacket with you this week and have a great last week of summer!
Sunday will be another warm day. Daily rain chances start Monday and last through the upcoming week.
