What faith really is

Faith is not something you muster.

Faith is you desperately clinging to something Jesus did.

And on the day we face God, He will say: Why should I let you in?

Our response should be: There is nothing about me that deserves to be in…

But if what Jesus did is good enough, I can get in.

Faith is utter dependence on the work of Jesus and not about anything we can do.

Is praying easy?

Jesus reveals in the Bible that prayer can be difficult.

He tells us not to give up even though, at times, it feels difficult.

Even the greatest prayer warriors in the church and in Christianity would tell you there are days when prayer flows easily…

But there are a lot of days when it feels a little more like work.

So understand that there is nothing wrong if praying isn’t easy

That is one of the challenges of prayer.

What are you seeing?

What’s your response when someone says God has done something in their life?

Do you celebrate with them and thank God for providing a miracle?

Or do you first think through how there has to be some other explaination?

If our eyes are skeptical of the miraculous, we might need a checkup.

If our first response when someone shares what God is doing is that there's a hidden motive…

We might need to ask ourselves if God would be willing to trust you with what He wants to do in the world.
