Viva Recordings found success with its first debut from Johnny Fiasco and the with Rick Preston's Altruism EP, which gained notoriety when "Spring Fling" was featured on Mark Farina's San Francisco Sessions Vol.1. ese early releases the road was paved for Viva Recordings' success. Over the last few years we have been working on personal projects but now have decided to bring the label back and take the Viva name back. Matt currently runs his “Friday Night Special” livestream on Twitch, was a core member of Train Car House Party, and is known for lighting up dancefloors and delivering lots of smiles. Seattle House Mafia is a Seattle-based DJ trio specializing in Deep House, Tech House, Progressive House, and Latin/Afro House. In addition to their DJ performances, they produce content as YouTube creators and podcasters, focusing on interviews and discussions with prominent figures in the electronic music community. They will be taking over downstairs in the Green Room for THIS! on Saturday 11.16.

We’ve been working on this one for a few months now, and we’re happy it finally worked out to have Parker Mills at THIS! on Saturday. And, not only is he opening the green room at 11, he’s doing a B2B with Recess from 12-2! It’s going to be a great party downstairs in the Green Room.

Cutting his teeth in the Florida house scene with a residency at Kill Your Idol club on South Beach, Parker moved to Seattle in 2017 with a mission to bring the sounds he was influenced and molded by to the Emerald City. He soon gained a residency at the eclectic Reflect parties (prioritizing disco and house) before becoming a resident for Seattle’s premier underground dance music series Makes Me Human. He’s been lucky to be on direct support for acts like Questlove, Soul Clap, Eli Escobar, Shonky, Dombresky and Satoshii Tomie, as well as playing Insomniac’s Boo! Music festival in 2023.

After 10 years of djing, he’s now mainly focused on his charity dance party series’ Revel and Give’nGroove which aim to raise awareness and funds towards charitable organizations that advance equity through music and community based events. They’ve been able to raise $30,000 since clubs re=opened in Seattle in July of 2021 for 10 different charities, and have brought artists such as Francois K, The Illustrious Blacks, Theus Mago, and Whitesquare to Seattle. Whether it’s indie dance, straightforward disco and soul, and more edgy/minimal sounds, he has a singular focus on music that evokes an emotional response on the dancefloor.

Shameless head honcho Recess joins us Saturday for THIS!
He’ll be on b2b duties with Parker Mills from 11-1, and will be closing it out in fashion downstairs in the Green Room from 1-2.

Founder of Shameless NW back in 2003, Recess has had a long illustrious tenure in the underground music scene of Seattle. After over 2 decades, Shameless has become an important fixture in the Pacific Northwest producing well loved annual events such as The Breakfast Club New Years Day, the Deck Out summer series, Club YES and many more one off events and intimate festivals.

Recess’ dance floor oriented DJ sets often reflect Shameless’ aesthetic by focusing on forward thinking music while cherishing the gems of the past. Recess grew up in Seattle bouncing between the early 90s rave, grunge and jazz scenes; cherishing the talent and community within them all.
