The end of the year is quickly going to be upon us, and before we all collectively go our separate ways to reflect and celebrate, I want to take a moment to express my thanks and gratitude for the year that has past. For all the people and musicians that made it as special as it was. For without you all, none of this would be able to continue to happen.
This past year saw the release of another two fantastic tributes, "Still Life in Polaroids (A Tribute to the works of Japan and Beyond)" and "Sacred Geometry (A Tribute to A Perfect Circle)". So many artists poured so much of themselves into both, and I loved being part of that in some way.
So again, and I will never be able to express it enough, thank you for all the belief and support in what we at Coitus Interruptus Productions try to do. Gratitude to ALL the musicians (and now friends) that lend their talents and hearts to the music. Gratitude to ALL those who take the time to listen and support the music. Gratitude to Yvette Winkler, Greg Rolfes, and Jasyn Bangert for everything they do above and beyond and work with me to bring these into being.

Here’s to 2024 and to see what it brings. We are working on something, rest assured. We just can’t talk about it yet. :)

"It is quite possibly one of the finest collections of artists mastering some rather obscure, but splendid, alternative music." Wow. I know, I’m biased, but I couldn’t agree more. All the credit goes to all the bands involved, and to Yvette Winkler for the invaluable help in its creation. To Greg Rolfes for the artwork. To Jasyn Bangert for the mastering. It was a collaborative effort.

With the year winding down, and 2022 coming to a close, everyone here at Coitus Interruptus Productions would like to thank all the very talented musicians that we have worked with, and all the fans who have supported our tributes. It’s been a busy year for us, as 2022 saw the release of three amazing tributes, “The Work Of Sinners, The Work of Saints (A Tribute to Love & Rockets & Tones on Tail)”, “Bleak Is Our Favorite Cliche (A Soft Cell & Marc Almond Tribute)”, and finally, “Heartbreak Beat (A Tribute to The Psychedelic Furs)”. Each of which couldn’t have been done without the belief of so many willing to put their hearts and time into them. We would also like to thank Jasyn Bangert for always doing his mastering magic on them, and also Greg Rolfes for his beautiful artwork (and more). Thank you, Brian Hodges and Yvette Winkler for the invaluable help, and belief if what we all help to create here.

Today I have been listening to some of the tributes that Coitus Interruptus Productions has released over the years, feeling both nostalgic and very grateful. I have been, and continue to be, very fortunate to have met and to work with so many talented people who make these silly ideas of mine into things of reality. Sometimes it’s hard for me to believe that it all started five years ago with what I thought was going to be the one and only tribute I’d do, “Under What Flag”, a tribute to Fad Gadget. I mean, in all honesty, that’s all that I had planned on. But more and more people believed in these projects and were (and continue to be) excited for them, that one became two, then three and now, soon to be ten. Crazy, simply crazy.
I would like everyone to know just how honored, appreciative, and thankful I am towards each and every one of you that have lent your friendship and creativity. It just goes without saying that everything would still be crazy “wouldn’t be cool if someone did a tribute to…” ideas in my head, if it wasn’t for all of you. Thank you all for your talents, creativity and friendships, too many to mention.
Thank you Greg Rolfes for the years of belief and art. Thank you Jasyn Bangert for all you do to make these bright and shiny. Thank you Brian Hodges for the ear and advise.
And thank you to all those who take the time to listen to what we all lovingly put together.
