⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ "This enticing literary escapade could pass as a romance novel for men or an erotic pulp fiction found in a dirty bookstore, but it goes much deeper than that. Pun intended. I really enjoyed the sense of adventure, the wonderful backdrop for the story, and the snapshot-in-time that is expertly captured by the author. This novel pushes the hippie ethos without feeling preachy or incredibly naive. Quite a feat! It deftly delves into themes of counterculturalism and (non-violent) anti-establishment rebellion, as well as taking a haymaker swing at monogamy. The unconventional open relationship between Hippy Bob and Gina, as well as their companions, is eye-opening and surprisingly touching."
